He was a valuable resource in the tech forums. I thought he just got bored with the drama and left :/

I too would like to know. Already wondered what happened to him. Was it really that bad that it warranted a perma ban instead of a little vacation?

You guys got be curious and HPMAN was banned in May 2004.

I guess people didn't really notice.

EDIT: I don't remember why.

if you want my opinion, hpman never learned how to play in the sandbox. He has knowledge of how to do things, but it's only used to assert his ego. I have nothing against him, but he's really not a good person to have around here. Let him be cool somewhere else.

Also, HPMAN was banned for posting Metal Slug 5 inserts that were available on a public server.

As usual, FTL gave into his buddy, Laurent's demands.

Firstly, this is odd for me. I come home after a long day of work only to find that for the first time ever, I find that a thread which I participated in has been sliced & diced and edited and re-arranged and moved, etc. What the hell? Oh well, what can I do about it.

With regards to HP MAN's ban, I didn't know or notice either, but I bet you I can guess what it was. It was the BULLSHIT KINDERGARTEN CENSORSHIP STATE with which this website was living under during the "playmore is pissed and cracking down on pirates" days. Yeah, things got to be so stupidly childish around here, that you couldn't mention the word "ROMS" in a post, or even ask what a conversion was, etc. It was so fucking stupid really. And long story short, that is why me, and everyone else who was involved with Ghostlop, Zintrick, etc. had to be careful about what we said. So sadly, things were basically candy coated and censored and heavily modified. So, this is one of the main reasons why the true story of Ghostlop was not (and could not) be told at this time.

Vinh did NOT want to be associated with the game, it's discovery, and it's destination in ANY which way shape or form. He was scared of playmore, and possible repercussions from them just like shawn was. So there you have it. The explanation for why Vinh was not mentioned or credited with regards to Ghostlop as well as a possible explanation for why HP MAN was banned. Perhaps he was talking about conversions, rom dumps, etc.

Nice thread. (thanks Bobak) Maybe I will spice it up a bit in a few after I relax some. Gotta kick off my shoes and get me a bottle of black cherry soda first. I will be back in a minute.

I say take a break from these subjects, at least a day would be good =).. Its just gonna put you in a tail spin of anger. I've been down that road many times and have really relaxed with it. I know from a lot of personal experience.

Hi man , I have respect for you (you are a good man to deal with ...) but I think you do not know the guy you 're speaking about :
1/ He never used anything to assert his ego .
2/ He's not somewhere else (my little finger tell me that he's one member of this forum).
3/ he has been banned by Simone (FTL) like anyone of us would have been banned for shit .
4/ he's working on something (for the Neo) that noone will be able to forget (very very crazy thing).
5/ he's the most intelligent guy of the neoscene I know that 's why we did Ghostlop release 8 years ago .
6/ he's with Waku my best friend .
