I just replied and told them we're taking the Astro City cab on the condition that they cover the Customs Clearance Agent fees and ship it ASAP.

My logic is simple: Mugs wants the AC and the Cyberlead has the non-tate monitor along with a fragile body. It's not worth taking a chance of damage on the cab. We've had enough hurdles already and it's another risk that simply does not need to be taken, especially when someone has already agreed to it.

So, I'm waiting on the final response and this *should* be it.

They are well aware this needs to arrive before June 1st. I will formally request an ETA.

That's all.

Astro city for me, I'm good to go, I want to apologize to you also VT, I'm really sorry this has been so stressful, but I cannot think of anyone else who could've handled this as well as you have. thank you again.

You can't rotate a Cyberlead monitor and they are ugly as shit , an Astro City is cool as hell and easy rotatable so it's a tough choice .
Congrats on the group buy guys , lots of awesomeness coming your way soon !

Appreciate it Casey! Much Love Buddy!;)

Is there any reliable way to track this? The only reason I ask is because I would love to get this organized so I can meet the other members and get time off work if needed. I would love a Saturday meetup if possible.

The customs paperwork requires an ETA at the port of import. When I get that paperwork, I'll anounce the "formal date"

As of right now, I haven't received a copy, but I expect that on Sun Night (Monday morning, Yokohama)

It would be epic if they meet their stated '10-20 days' guesstimate, on the 10 day side. 1st Friday in May, carousing around Philly on the 1st Friday Olde City Crawl; Saturday cab disbursement + NextLevel Videogames gathering...

Would be fucking legendary.

Delivery notice by their logistics broker will provide you guys with the container number, carrier, voyage/booking number, and possibly a bill of lading number. Once you have these, go to to the below page and select your carrier line:

http://cargotracking.utopiax.org/containertracking.html

The links will take you to the appropriate carrier's website and tracking based on the container or voyage number. This is for general tracking of the shipment, no documents or private customs info is available on these pages as those go directly to the consignee responsible for inbound customs clearance on US soil.

The 10-20 days estimate covers both the loading and transit. Here is an example schedule of a shipment we recently did from Long Beach to Sydney:

30/03/2012 Kota Jaya Laden T/S Discharge SYDNEY
12/03/2012 Kota Jaya Laden Loading LONG BEACH
06/03/2012 Kota Jaya Laden Truck In To Terminal LONG BEACH
05/03/2012 Kota Jaya Empty Truck Out By Shipper LONG BEACH

As you can see, the shipment emptied out of the LTL truck on March 5th and loaded into the container the next day. The vessel sailed on the 12th and reached it's destination on March 30th.

It depends on the transit line being utilized by your carrier, but I would expect a slightly longer transit time by a few days.
