If buying it again will convince Sega to make a third game, then I'll get it. But I'm happy with it on Dreamcast.

Never gave this game a fair chance back in the day on DC, if it's not outlandishly priced I may be forced to pick it up when it comes out.

So is the xbox emulation thing dead. I wanted to buy JSRF but read that the 360 doesn't emulate correctly.

i remember it having noticable slowdown in some stages and textures disappearing after pausing but i still found it playable

at least playable to the point where i was content enough with it and didn't feel compelled to track down an original xbox to play it

+1

I couldn't give a stuff about JSR. Powerstone 2 with online multiplayer would be something to really get excited about. Desert level, random characters, all weapons on and Ayame banned. 4 Player heaven.

Sega just released the trailer in HD. As I said before, if sales of the XBLA/PSN version convinces them to make a third game AND the music is intact, then I'll grab it.

I cannot wait to once more crush POISON JAM.

Love the last boss too. So epic. Killer track on that fight as well.

What makes you think Smilebit/Andromeda are going to create a new JSRF, after having strictly reformed into creating Mario & Sonic games, just because a few thousand people buy the XBLA/PSN release of this.

It's been dead since like, 2007.

I haven't played more than a couple hours of the first one, but I played Future through twice (once on the original Xbox and again on the 360). For people asking about Future working in emulation, it's fine. It's not 100%, but it is completely playable, and as Joe said there is some noticeable slowdown where there wasn't any before. It won't really ruin the experience for you, though. The game is still a blast even in heavy letter-boxed mode.

They did just do a shuffling of the powers that be, the guy who was responsible for a lot of Sega's creative decisions during their heyday is now in charge. Who knows what this change will do

I don't have a link, but I saw on a news site that said Sega was only able to get HALF of the original soundtrack. They didn't list the exact songs they were able to get so I'm going to hold off on downloading it till I hear how the replacements tracks are. If their anything like the "Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo" replacement on Crazy Taxi, then I'm out.

Good business decisions are anathema to Sega.

Knew it. It's still technically decent business since they're going to make some money off this, but those artists better have been demanding a TON of money for the licenses for them to compromise such a key part of the game. If this is actually true, then what a shame. JSR is basically my #1 favorite game ever, no way I'm ever buying this if they lose any more than the lame nu-metal songs added for the USA release. I think I can understand a bit of what Star Wars diehards feel towards George Lucas now, lol
