I currently have 3 units, all are regular NGPC's:
A silver unit that I got back in the day, it's in terrible shape but has a GBA front light mod. I didn't do a good job of removing the light from the GBA so it has scratches and stuff in the light screen.
A Anthracite (carbon fiber looking color) that I bought new from a website a couple of years back since I lost my other good NGPC moving back in 2004 or so. Barely used, I keep it in a case so it's perfect.
And... a month or so back my wife was digging through boxes and found the lost newish silver system! I had bought it new back in 2002 and only played it once to test it. It was packed in a small box and forgotten.
I want to get a camo blue one. I generally don't like camo, but something about that color looks good to me. And I really need a light, I can't play the system at home since my lighting is too dim.

I'll break that trend, Flavor.
I have at least one of each model. My primary system is a clear regular model with front light mod. I have a couple other regular models, but I forget which colors - I think one of them is blue camo. I have a NGP someplace as well, which has barely been used since I got it after I have a NGPC. And I have a slimline that is still in the box.

Mine is a dark blue one. NGPC is such an awesome system. I still think it has the best control pad for any handheld.

I figure this is the place to ask.
Anybody use screen guards for their NGPC? You know the type people put over cell phone screens and such.
I'm wonder what a good brand to buy is, as I don't want any residue left on my NGPC.
Also, anybody know of any third party cases that fit the NGPC well? I can't find an official case anywhere. Thanks

I've got the rereleased Pocket Color Arcade version from 2003. It's light blue. I wasn't aware of hardware differences in NGPC units, so I'm not entirely sure, but I think it's the regular because the screen isn't recessed.
I played that thing so much more than my GBA.

Thank you, I wonder if that GPS case (refered to in the thread) would fit the slimline NPGC nicely.
Shit for 4.50, it's worth a gamble.

Was thinking of doing that. But I'd have to find a place with a decent selection, don't wanna drive around town, and dont wanna settle for something that's "good enough". Also I highly doubt I'll find something cheaper than $4.50.
Basically, I'm lazy... and cheap.

I heard that SNK called it different names, depending on the region it was sold. 'Lost in translation', I suppose. Either way its camo to me, not Ocean nor Aqua.
Also, can anybody post a pic of a slimline black NGPC? I've never seen one.

Didn't know that, mine says aqua blue on the box. I thought it was rear too cause it looks like blue camo.

Does a plain black one exist? ive only seen the anthracite one which is like a carbon effect.
