I didn't wanna list battlefield 3..... but gotta be real with myself, I played it a ton.

EDIT: in reply to moon jump.... and because I want a excuse to talk about child of eden (just finished it). I too find the music less to my taste than REZ, it's very happy and upbeat, the whole game has a very happy vibe and I found REZ to have more of a dark serious vibe, but with the headphones cranked and the lights out... I gotta admit... it still effected me almost as powerfully as REZ. I am not going to go looking for a soundtrack for this game, but while I am in this games world, I love this music.

The only real disappointment for me, beyond the realization that I had seen just about everything the game has to offer, is the final stage, it just can't live up to REZ's finale..... but that's not really child of eden's fault, REZ's stage 5 just blew me the fuck away like no other videogame level has before or since....if you could call it a videogame level.

Daytona USA on XBLA/PSN was freaking awesome. Good graphical makeover plus classic gameplay equals nostalgic memories rushing back to me.

Forza 4 was sublime, my new favorite racing sim, at least until Forza 5 comes out.

Other than that, eh, mostly forgettable year.

(I did like Duke Nukem Forever though, but I didn't get to the alien hive level yet...)

was all I played that came out this year.


In all honesty, Dead Space and Fallout 3 were some of the most fun I've had this year in gaming. Great games, glad I got them for $10-$15.

I also played a fantastic Mega Man X3 mod that allows you to play as Zero through the whole game. Good mod, its still in beta so hopefully it gets more unique as it develops

Biggest disappointment for the year was Brink.

Nicest surprise title for this year was Bastion.

I still have a few games from 2011 I need to play: AC Revelations, Uncharted 3, Gears 3. I'm working my way through Batman: Arkham City at the moment. Loving it.

In 2011 I played a serious amount of Diablo 2 :emb: I hope D3 arrives before winter.

Dead Space was a awesome game. Your right, for the price you can't go wrong. One of the scariest games I've played in awhile.

Didn't think it was scary at all, more funny than anything, but gameplay wise it was excellent. Maybe a bit tedious at points, and on lower difficulties it was easy to bust, but overall a great experience for the price.

I want to say Dark Souls, but I haven't finished it or played much of it in a while.
When I do play now, it's mostly MW3 for the quick gaming fix I require.
My game of the year goes to Portal 2. The game was a blast the moment I got it. Not only did I beat the game, I actually passed it twice (which is something I find myself rarely doing as I get older).

I honestly bought very few new games in 2011. Now that I think about it, that's pretty much the norm. I guess i'm more of a retro gamer. Anyways, the ones I did buy I truly enjoyed.

I guess the only games I feel worth mention are The King of Fighters XIII and Ultimate/Marvel vs Capcom 3. These are my 2/3 favorite games of 2011 hands down.

Thanks for posting a bunch of hilariously shitty games for this year + a random picture correlating to nothing. The point, which you've missed, is that this is a site dedicated to a Japanese gaming platform, so people are not in a position to say silly shit like that. American Neo games don't even come into it.

If you really think all recently created Japanese games are bad, then you'll have to sort your closed mind out for yourself.

Edit: Good lord, how many custom titles did the admins make for this site? lol.
