So um, yeah. I completely forgot that the T'Wolves took Derrick Williams with the second pick in the draft. Rick Rubio (09' draft pick) is also in camp from Spain. Both players are listed as the #1 and #4 "rookies to watch" this season according to NBA.com. I also forgot that Kurt Rambis was fired in the off-season, so the new coach is Rick Adelman.

Well, color me excited. I'll be interested in T'Wolves basketball for the first time since Kevin Garnett's departure back in 07'. Its been too long. Lets see what these rookies can do.

The Wolves are still looking at a bad year overall I think, but it'll have to get better at some point with all that ridiculous talent they have.

I'm getting International League Pass this year, so I'll be able to watch every single fuckin' game I want. We'll see how many I actually watch ;)

After back to back seasons with less than twenty wins...the only place to go is up.

This could be the year that Chicago gets that 7th ring. Go Bulls!

Minny has some pretty good talent this year and Adelman is a solid coach (much better than Rambis). The Wolves should be fun to watch this season (I'm wondering how good Rubio will be in his rookie season).

The Bulls will definitely challenge the Heat this season as the top seed, especially now that they have Rip Hamilton at the 2. Hopefully Boozer will be better this year.

I don't see how adding Rip Hamilton changes too much. The Heat got better as well, and they handled the Bulls pretty easily in the playoffs last year.

The Bulls didn't really have a consistent 2 last season (someone to help Rose with scoring duties). It seemed like Rose was doing too much and needed some help. I think Rip can help (but we'll see how he and Rose will work as a backcourt chemistry wise). As for the Heat, I'm not sure if the roster changes they made will make them a better team this season.

Shane Battier is the type of player that will help ANY team. He's obviously going to make them better. Norris Cole could turn out to be an upgrade over Chalmers. They didn't get A LOT better in terms of roster additions, but they did improve.

I totally forgot about Battier signing with the Heat. You're right, he definitely will improve the Heat in some way. As for Norris Cole, I'm interested to see if he can truly be an improvement over Chalmers.

Chalmers was a weak link on the team, so they probably aren't expecting anything more from Cole than just being an upgrade. It's not a hard task.

You're right about that. Hopefully Cole will be good enough so that the PG spot isn't a major weak link any longer. Chalmers is a fine backup, so the Heat 'only' have that glaring hole at Center now. Of course, they came rather close last year, so I'd say the Heat are looking good.

T'Wolves, making things interesting by coming back from eleven down in less than two minutes to play last night. I like the vibe this mish-mash of talent is showing.

Ricky Rubio will lead the league in assists sooner rather than later ;) I feel my latent T-Wolves fan awakening inside me.

lol...

Foreigners are the best market for the NBA. No hometown loyalty, so they end up liking the NBA as a whole. It's so weird seeing people who live outside the USA support the NBA. There is so little you all have in common with NBA players except that they just want to fuck your women.

I noticed how the LeBron haters more or less shut up. :D

tbf, there's not a lot of noise about the NBA this year yet. Not compared to last year. Neutrals are able to live peacefully without being barraged with bullcrap about this 2nd class sport.
