Of the gifts I didn't buy for myself I appreciate socks and underwear the most. Stupid I know but I love not having to buy these items and getting them as gifts.

It's funny how as a kid we hated getting clothes, but we appreciate the shit out of them as adults. I do like not having to shop for new clothes for awhile.

I didn't get shit from anyone, and didn't want anything from anyone. I get stuff for myself all through the year anyhow. Well... Fyana did make me Xmas card at school and a framed picture of her for me to hang up at Sunsa where I live. BUT BEYOND THAT... MY Christmas was spending quality time with my kids, and seeing them happy.

Yeah, it's like that. LIKE A BOSS with my daughter. Got her JEM Season One
for her main Xmas Gift and we're already like on Disc #2.

Nice. I have the gray pullover hoodie of this. I am long over my fondness for Kevin Smith, but I think the Monroeville Zombies merch is awesome, and a really clever fan's tribute to Romero.

As for me, I got:

Games:

El Shaddai (PS3)
Tales of Legendia (PS2)

Books:

The Pillars of Creation
The Whole Wide World
Game Design: Theory and Practice 2nd Edition
The Making of Prince of Persia (Kindle eBook)

DVDs/BDs:

Ironclad
The Lion in Winter
Nat Geo specials on LotR
The Tudors: The Complete Series

Clothing:

Gray scarf
Black zip up hoodie (very nice)
Harley Davidson winter gauntlets
Sons of Anarchy 'SAMCRO' hoodie

Miscellaneous:

Kindle Touch (HUGE surprise, and I love it, but not backlit so I will be trading up for a Kindle Fire)

Gift Cards:

$80 for GS
$50 for B&N
$40 for AMC movie theaters
$100 cash

Got the wife all of this:

Aluma Wallet (silver)
Sims: Medieval + expansion
Gabriel Iglesias: Hot and Fluffy DVD
The Uprights (book)
Stephen King anthology (the one with Apt Pupil, Shawshank and The Body)
Fuzzy socks
Journal
iPod case+arm strap
PS3 160 GB slim

Christmas was fun this year.

Gave:
$100 gift card to aunt
New watch to grandmother
Denny's brunch to lady I met off Plenty of Fish

Received:
Sunpass Prepaid Device for toll on Florida highways
Carolina (Columbia) blue dress/tie combo
Brownish-green Short-sleeve button down/dress pants combo
$25 gift card to Chili's
$75 in gift cards
A new tie clip to replace the original tie clip that I thought was lost when it was in my aunt's room the whole time.
PSN RE4 to myself (it's still downloading....sigh)

Mind you, all I asked for this year was a Sunpass and a new mallet/drumstick bag that didn't come in due to WWBW.com not being able to deliver it. Bah, it's annoying when my folks give me way much more than I had anticipated, but I'm still extremely grateful and thankful.

Isn't the point to brag about what gifts you have received?

Edit: Yep, double checked the thread title, that's what it's about.

X-mas swag threads kick ass. It's cool to see what people got for the holiday. Nothing wrong with that. Not in the least.

Those NGPC Terry sprites are awesome. My wife did a cross stitch for me of that exact sprite. She also did one for me for Ryo, so I have the two facing off on my computer.

I got this:

12-13-11_0216.jpg

...with a Diamond SRH77CA whip antenna, some drill bits (which I needed), and a nose-hair trimmer.

I gave out a bunch of Studio Ghibli DVDs to my nieces, novels for my dad, puzzles for my idiot sister (she loves them, but she's terrible at them, a troll gift...), toolbox for my cousin, and a Hookah for my mom (who then proceeded to smoke five bowls in-a-row).

Awwww, it's ok if your family is poor, man. Love is priceless. Keep that chin high. Someday you'll get that turtles playset with toxic ooze you always wanted.
