The first one was just alright.

I'm expecting more of the same, and that's just fine.

Edit/P.S. - I see that Scott Adkins is in the credits as well (imdb, not the trailer).

Which is awesome, he's probably the youngest/best martial artist on the roster.

I wouldn't be opposed to a JCVD vs Adkins fight scene.

The most memorable thing about the first one was having to turn on subtitles to understand what the hell Sylvester Stallone was saying.

First one didn't have any cheese. Stallone had a golden opportunity to ham it up, action movie 80s style, and opted instead for an actual straight shooter story and acting.

Pass.

I think its a tad past bail time for that... but yeah, that would have been cool also.

Personally, I'm rooting for JCVD of course... sad about Norris. I studied Tang Soo Do for years and even met his brother Aaron at a couple of tournaments. I used to like Chuck so much until I found out he's a hardcore republican & was rooting for Sarah Palin(wtf!!)

I enjoyed the first one. Infact it was the last film I saw in the cinema. Looking forward to this. Not much was given away in the trailer, which is good.

The only thing I don't like in the trailer is the word "Also"...which makes me believe JCVD and Arnie only make brief cameos. When what I and everyone else in the world wants to see is Sly and Arnie standing back to back firing unmounted .50 caliber machineguns feeding from belts slung over their shoulders.

JCVD is the main villian in the movie and will have the big ending fight against Stallone.

I thought he was busy selling Total Gym. I see the infomercials that says "Wesley Snipes uses TOTAL GYM" on Dish Network all the time. I'm looking forward to more of Sly and the gang next summer. It's just pure 80's action shlock. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the cheese.

Yep that's what I read. I think that Willis and Arnie will probably only show up for one big fight/gun scene though.

Who knows though, it is Arnies first film back so I wouldn't be surprised if he has a large role.

From WIKI:

Jean-Claude Van Damme as Jean Vilain
Primary antagonist and the leader of an opposing team of mercenaries. Van Damme had previously been offered a role in The Expendables but failed to come to an agreement with Stallone and ultimately never took part. Commenting on the role, Stallone said "We’ll have a big showdown between me and Van Damme, which has been anticipated for a long time, so it should be a good one."

Bruce Willis as Mr. Church
In late August 2011, Stallone stated his interest in having Willis return for a role in the sequel — expanding upon his brief cameo in the original — potentially as a "super villain". Willis was confirmed to be involved in a "substantial" role on September 6, 2011. Commenting on the film, Willis said "Hopefully, they'll start shooting it while we're young enough to survive."

Arnold Schwarzenegger as Trent Mauser
Stallone noted his intention to have Schwarzenegger return for a sequel before the release of The Expendables, stating "If this works, I would love to get him in the next one". Schwarzenegger's involvement was confirmed on September 6, 2011, his "substantial" role expanding on his cameo in the original film. Schwarzenegger filmed his scenes in 4 days.

"Filmed his part in four days" doesn't sound too promising.:crying:

Im sure its one kick ass scene, but the again I was always surprised on how fast they film some of these action movies, like this one was done in 14 weeks.

Also its worth noting Stallone didn't direct or write this one.

I absolutely hated the first one.

I'll give this one a chance. Won't watch it until I see some glowing reviews, though.

The first one was as lame as a collection of Affliction/Tapout shirts.

If Chuck Norris does anything like this in Expendables 2,

I didn't care much for the first one but I really want to care about this one. The trailer was enough to make my beard get stronger as well as the presence of Van Damme and Chuck Norris.
