If you can't understand what I meant with that, in context of even quoting his post, then there's no point in explaining it to you.

Do you know what the Rubicon is and what the historical importance of "going past it" was?
It... it involves... dice?

I laughed like a little girl when I read this.

Even though the story is fake, Sage is still wrong. Tattoos are forever, yeah. So are a lot of STDs. Start cheating and you open the doorway for that shit. It's cool you went to college dropout parties and got a taste of the real life, but you haven't experienced it until you've had to sit in an office waiting for test results because you found out your partner was cheating.

Here's my question: If the photo and tattoo appear real, how come no one is asking, "Why the fuck did that chick get shit tattooed on her back, and why does she clearly hate herself so?"

I've learned a lot to what happens to the people who didn't go to college, what kind of person they are....
It's just the way it is with that crowd, a crowd that isn't unfamiliar with tattoos.

Wow. Thanks to your sweeping generalization I would've never known that I'm apparently a drug-abusing, adulterous tattooed freak because I didn't finish college.

WHY YOU GOTTA DO ME LIKE THAT?!?!?

Lots of people want to think profiling is wrong. That's ok. Let them think there are no predominant characteristics among certain groups.

I have 3 college degrees (with honors), a smattering of tattoos, and (aside from this one bout of unemployment) i have always had a job including my last few which were corporate/ professional level jobs.

Profiling is stupid. I know several people that are extremely clean cut, with no tattoos that are just the opposite of their look.

The funny thing is, while I had the reply window page open, my girlfriend (who makes about $25k more a year doing what my mom actually got a degree for) is telling me how not going to college was the best decision she's ever made.

P.S. - Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, David Geffen, Richard Branson, Andrew Loyd Webber, Ralph Lauren, John D. Rockerfeller, Howard Hughes, Ben Affleck, Troy Aikman (though he finished in 2009), Paul Allen, Woody Allen, PT Anderson, and many others over @ http://www.collegedropoutshalloffame.com/ say "hi"

And most of those are just the billionaires that've dropped out of college. That doesn't take into account the millionaires, or the successful people that never even finished high school. If I were to use your silly profiling method, I'd say the predominate trait amongst those people is shaping the god damn last 50 years.

You silly bastard.

Forget about the vast majority and pick out the few standouts. Whatever. No point in arguing. If I see some guy who isn't articulate and talks about how many bitches he banged, I'll be sure to ask how he made his first billion.

I don't consider myself the best at the whole grammar game, but I got a 32 on the English portion of the ACT (first time, no studying at all). I was also in the gifted/honors/AP programs from the second grade through high school graduation, won scholarships and was accepted into the UNO Honors program. Two of my closest friends were in the gifted/honors/AP programs with me as well, and guess what? College drop outs. We're all doing very well for ourselves, thank you very much.

You know there's a lot of reasons people leave college. Lumping them all into one group is absurd.

There are plenty of rich, successful people that have finished college that aren't articulate and/or are complete morons, too.

I wouldn't take so much offense to your statements, but between this thread, the car wreck thread, and the "problems with mommy" thread, you've clearly painted yourself as someone who's lived a very sheltered life, with a undeserved sense of superiority and no idea how the real world works.

Also, soulthug did your whole schtick way better years ago.

(and my sideburns rock way harder than yours)

Fun fact: I too possess righteous sideburns, and I've had them for almost continuous 20 years.
