Liverpool knows what time it is. I must be part British, cause we reacted the same.

Had RAW on in the background, hoping for Clay's re-debut. That & Regal magically showing up were the only two reasons my TV were on...

[Remember when Regal exploder suplexed Orton on the Wembley Arena Raw years ago? The crowd IGNITED. Folks @ home were on the edge of thier seats; or standing!]

...& neither happened. *sigh* What did happen? The crowd was 1970s Japanese-crowd quiet during Mason Ryan's match. The crowd screeeeamed @ Cena the entire main event. Screamed. At. Him.

Ugh.

ROH TV Results: 11-5-11

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to Radican's complete report). Condensed here to in-ring results only.

1 - - MICHAEL ELGIN (w/Truth Martini) vs. SHILOH JONES

Elgin drove Jones into the corner and beat him to a pulp. The crowd chanted for Jones, who tried to fire back, but he ended up taking a big slam. Kelly ran down ROH’s live event dates as Elgin hit a big shoulder tackle off the second turnbuckle. Jones tried to fire back again on Elgin, but got tossed into the corner. Elgin ate a boot, but managed to counter Jones moments later and hit a big powerslam. Elgin covered Jones with one finger and he managed to kick out. Kelly ran down the lineup for the rest of the show. Jones went for a sunset flip and Elgin tried to sit down on him, but Jones got out of the way. Jones hit a forearm off the top for a 2 count. Elgin fired back with a spinning back fist. Elgin followed up with a buckle bomb and a twisting powerbomb for the pin.

Winner: Michael Elgin –This was a good showcase of Elgin’s power in the ring. The crowd was behind OVW talent Shiloh Jones, so it created a good atmosphere for the squash. The announcers focused more on previewing live events and what was coming up on the show and didn’t spotlight Elgin on commentary like they should have here.

2 - - ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS CHARLIE HAAS & SHELTON BENJAMIN vs. CEDRIC ALEXANDER & CAPRICE COLEMAN – Proving Ground match

There was a terrible glare from the lights during a floor shot as Benjamin took down Coleman. Both men exchanged holds on the mat. Benjamin got an arm triangle, but Coleman got the ropes. The announcers talked about Coleman being an ordained minister. Coleman countered a slam and exchanged counters with Benjamin and they came to a stalemate as the crowd applauded. Haas tagged in and slammed Coleman. Haas went to work on Coleman’s arm on the mat and the crowd applauded. Coleman fired back with some kicks from the mat and tagged in Alexander. Alexander nailed Haas with a running knee in the corner. Benjamin blind-tagged himself into the match and caught Alexander with a superkick from behind. Benjamin went to work on Alexander’s leg. He tagged in Haas who continued to work over Alexander’s leg. Kelly talked about Alexander’s amateur wrestling background. Haas went to the second rope and snapped Alexander’s leg down to the mat.

They came back from break with no commercial aired. Highlights aired of some action during the break with Alexander trying to fire back on Benjamin, but he got cut off with a knee to the chest. Back to live action, Benjamin was still working over Alexander on the mat. Kelly said Alexander & Coleman had proven they are a cohesive team. McGuinness said they hadn’t proven much to him. Haas tagged in and locked in a leg submission on Alexander. Alexander struggled, but got the ropes. Kelly ran down some upcoming live events. Alexander tried to fire back, but Haas cut him off. Alexander fired back again with a tornado DDT off the second rope and both men were down.

The crowd clapped as both men struggled to get to their feet. Both men tagged out. Coleman took down Benjamin with a leaping leg drop for a 2 count. Kelly said there were less than four minutes left in the time limit as Coleman caught Benjamin with a hurricanrana off the turnbuckles. The action broke down with Coleman and Alexander working over Benjamin, but they missed the camera shot of the double team maneuver. Haas dragged Alexander to the outside. He came back into the ring and gave Coleman a suplex. Haas & Benjamin isolated Alexander and caught him with the leap of faith. They then caught Coleman with wrestling’s greatest finisher for the win.

Winners: Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin – This was a solid main event. Alexander & Coleman looked good in their television debut, but didn’t do a lot to stand out to new fans seeing them for the first time. The match was competitive at times, but you never got the sense Haas & Benjamin were in any danger.

WWE RAW Results: 11-7-11

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to Caldwell's complete report). Condensed here to in-ring results only.

1 -- U.S. champion DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Vickie Guerrero) vs. JOHN MORRISON -- non-title match

A black-and-white theme to this match, as Vickie was in a white shirt and black tie, Ziggler was in black wrestling shorts, Morrison was in black and white/silver pants, and the referee was in zebra stripes. Cole continued to rip Ryder's petition while trying to incorporate some sports analogies that failed, as pointed out by Lawler. The two men in the ring went back and forth as the crowd settled into their seats before Cole fed to a break at 3:00.

Back on Raw, Ziggler was working over Morrison as Cole suggested Morrison's losing streak was about to continue. The announcers then bickered over whether Morrison was dominated during the break or not. Ziggler took his time wearing down Morrison before taunting him with verbal and right hand jabs. Morrison had enough and snapped on Ziggler before almost getting himself DQ'ed. Ziggler capitalized with a back elbow smash for a two count to resume control. The audience started a dueling chant of "Let's go Ziggler / Let's go Morrison." Lawler would normally call this bizarro world, but said he likes a crowd split right down the middle.

Vickie sold concern ringside as Morrison finally scored with some offense and scored a nearfall following a neckbreaker. Morrison then wanted Starship Pain, but Ziggler moved and Morrison landed on his feet. The two men traded holds before Ziggler hit a guillotine leg drop for a two count. Morrison then came back with a springboard kick strike, but Vickie had the ref distracted on a pin attempt. Suddenly, Morrison rolled up Ziggler from behind and scored a surprise three count to end the streak.

WINNER: Morrison at 13:03. Solid singles match. The crowd wasn't as hot for the nearfalls as you would expect, but WWE has beaten the life out of Morrison's character for so many weeks that the audience doesn't have reason to invest in Morrison. (**)

2 -- MASON RYAN vs. JTG

Mason toyed with JTG early on as Cole noted Ryan has a degree in construction management from Cardiff U. The crowd was quiet as Ryan went through his power routine dismantling JTG. Ryan put JTG on his shoulders for a submission before going back to the power offense. Ryan screamed, then hoisted JTG into the air for a powerslam. Ryan followed with a full nelson, tossed him around like the Masterlock, and turned it into a full nelson slam for the pin and the win. Lawler called him a cartoon character or a superhero as they replayed the finish.

WINNER: Ryan at 2:23.

3 -- WWE champion ALBERTO DEL RIO vs. WWE tag champion KOFI KINGSTON -- non-title match

The bell sounded as Lawler noted tonight's Raw could be Cole's last full episode if he loses the MCC to Ross next week. Del Rio smashed Kingston to the outside early on before rolling Kingston back into the ring to inflict more punishment. Kingston landed some offense before Del Rio aggressively threw him shoulder-first into the ringpost. Del Rio followed with the cross arm-breaker and Kingston was forced to tap out.

WINNER: Del Rio via submission at 2:09. Nice, decisive win for Del Rio, but odd to use Kingston in this spot. Of note, there was no mention of a suspended Evan Bourne or the state of the Tag Titles.

4 -- JACK SWAGGER (w/Vickie Guerrero) vs. SANTINO

Cole went through Swagger's background, including playing college football at OU. Lawler followed with a Penn St. joke that it's a good thing Swagger didn't go to Penn St. because "all of those guys are going to end up at State Penn." Cole followed with more JR jokes to hype the MCC next week. Lawler followed with a pig joke on Vickie. In the ring, Swagger and Santino went back and forth for a bit before Swagger's eye started twitching and he slapped on the anklelock. Santino tapped out, giving Swagger the win. Post-match, Swagger did his victory lap as Vickie applauded.

WINNER: Swagger via submission at 3:02. This one had the trifecta of awful commentary. Tasteless attempt at a Penn St. joke with alleged child abuse involved affecting real lives, a fat joke on Vickie, and more J.R. bullying.

5 -- JOHN CENA & ZACK RYDER vs. THE MIZ & R-TRUTH

Cena and Truth started things off, but Truth decided to duck out of the ring and tag in Miz. Cena delivered offense on Miz as the crowd chanted, "We want Ryder." Cena acknowledged the chant as Truth re-entered. Cena then slapped Truth over the ear and the heels regrouped on the outside. No Ryder as Cena readied to square off against Truth again. Instead, Cena tagged in Ryder and gave him a pat on the shoulder. Ryder entered the ring and delivered a pancake before throwing Truth clear over the top rope to the floor. Truth clutched the back of his head as they cut to break with the faces in control.

Back on Raw, Miz and Truth were working over Cena as they went to several replays of Truth smashing the back of his head on the floor prior to break. Lawler called it a concussion causer. Yet, not even a kayfabe medical check of Truth to see if he could continue to send a message that concussions are a serious issue. The heels continued to work over Cena as Ryder waited for a hot tag on the ring apron. Meanwhile, the crowd picked up a "Let's go Cena / Cena sucks" chant.

Cena made the hot tag to Ryder at the top of the hour. Suddenly, all four men were in the ring. Cena put on Ryder's sunglasses, did the fist pump, and did a simultaneous Broski Boot. Ryder then wanted the Rough Ryder on Miz, but Truth popped him in the head from the ring apron. The heels then isolated Ryder as Lawler played up the idea of seeing a better tag match at Survivor Series with The Rock in Ryder's place. Another dueling chant as Cena waited for a tag on the ring apron and the announcers hyped Rock and Cena together in the same ring at Survivor Series. When it's delusional lead announcer Cole trying to create the imagery for that moment in The Garden, you know the PPV hype is in trouble.

Ryder made the tag to Cena at 16:30 and Miz tagged in for Truth. Cena delivered his signature offense on both men before setting up for a double You Can't See Me. Cena opted to bring in Ryder to help him with the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Both men bounced off the ropes and delivered the Shuffle. Ryder then dumped Truth to the outside. Back in the ring, Miz delivered a kick to Cena's head and covered Cena as Truth held down Cena's feet from the outside. Miz with the pin for the win. Cole wasn't able to seize the moment on commentary as Cena laughed to sell that he couldn't believe he was pinned by Miz. The heels retreated up the entrance ramp as Cena shouted toward the stage that they got their one victory, but they won't get two. That's how Raw concluded.

WINNERS: Miz & Truth at 17:18. Except for the heels winning, this came across like a house show main event from the in-ring storytelling to the action to the commentary. WWE tried to erase last week when Cena easily discarded Awesome Truth and re-establish some credibility for the heel duo here, but the uninspired commentary and Cole's inability to sell a big moment hurt the proceedings. Meanwhile, The Rock's first match in seven years at Survivor Series still hasn't been made to feel like a big deal, which puts WWE in a tough spot next week where they can't give away too much with Rock back on Raw TV, but have to create enough momentum to get people to spend $45 to see Rock at Survivor Series. After RAW went off the air...

After Raw went off the air with with Miz & Truth beating Cena & Ryder, they re-did the match finish with Truth holding down Cena's feet and turned it into a dark segment. Dolph Ziggler then came out to help the heels beat down Cena and Ryder, then C.M. Punk came out to even the odds. Awesome Truth left quickly, leaving Ziggler to take finishers. Ziggler took Ryder's finisher first, then Cena went for the AA, which the crowd booed. Cena passed Ziggler to Punk and everyone cheered. They passed Ziggler back and forth until Ryder hit Rough Ryder again. Punk then hit the GTS and Cena left the ring looking like he was in a mood with the crowd. Punk then hit the AA instead. The faces then celebrated in the ring before Ryder said we were all Broskis of the week. Cena left first, then Ryder, then Punk as Ryder's theme closed out the show.

Ziggler will be a face by wrestlemania.

I'm hoping the only reason for the Ryder push is because Ziggler is getting a push to the big title soon. But he may need to stay heel for that just because WWE is lacking in the heel department at that level. Del Rio still can't get any heat without Ricardo and it's like they're hiding the fact that he's the WWE champ until they can give it to Punk.

Then again, I can see Ziggler turning face by dumping Vickie since Vickie might be needed helping mid-carders generate heat while they develop their mic skills.

Yeah, the thing about Ziggler is that he has decent mic skillz.

Something you wouldn't expect since Vickie does all the talking.

When I was at a House show back in June, he cut a pretty good promo. Even used a bit of an "in joke" as he came out and started ripping the crowd with relatively cheap, but not hometown heat. Then he said... "and now for my promo" and started really raging on the other wrestlers.

I guess he has a good relationship with Ryder, Almost like they have a new "Kliq".

I think I mentioned it before, but yeah, they're supposed to be good friends and Ziggler makes appearances on Ryder's show.

Guys like Ziggler or Rhodes need to be in the WWE (or at least World Heavyweight) title picture, especially now that the Rock at Wrestlemania stuff is giving us all a reprieve from the endless Cena title shots.

Meanwhile, guys like Swagger need all the help they can get from the likes of Vickie. Considering Vickie is the only current "Diva" with her own t-shirt (Trish Stratus has one too) and can get a reaction from the dead, I have to wonder why we don't see more managers or valets. It seems like a great way to develop wrestlers without having to throw them into the deep end on the mic.

Regal needs to find someone to manage, if only to get him back on TV.

Vickie is so great because like the old school mangers of the territorial/kayfabe era, the crowd instantly hates anybody associated with her..

They should use her more to introduce new heels.

If it was a live show (not related to RAW or Smackdown) then it won't air on television. However if it was a taping of a weekly show, then it'll air here in the states on Monday or Friday. It's sounds funky but that's how it works.

yeah tickets were sold as raw tickets, and the smackdowns they did in england were sold as smackdown tickets. i guess they're just recording shows here, to air them later maybe the performers get a break around christmas, so they tape loads now? dunno. still wish i'd gotten tickets.

I liked it actually, building up of Robert Roode as a heel with the belt is all good for me. Mr. Ten days in the business Jesse Sorenson was the best part, but I actually like Eric Young and the Jersey guy's match. Anything with EY is classic gold.

I think it'll be a great PPV with prodominantly TNA originals all over the card. :)

I give them props for at least having him in the ring enough to show his little bit of training and had him out enough not to expose him

I do wonder why they keep the tv title around though

We can only hope they build it around some up and comers for a good mid card belt....

I would put the belt on Robbie E, use him as a good heel for a while, then build up some faces to chase: EY, Crimson, Gunner, Maybe throw in Bully Ray too....

So last night my bro and I watched the new HBK-Bret Hart DVD

I'm 28 years old, my brother 30. I have been watching WWE for 24 years now, since I was 4 in 1987. No matter how bad it got, or how bored I got of the product over the years, there was never a year that I stopped following it. I tuned in every Monday night almost regardless. Why, because WWE is my childhood friend and an entity from the good old days that is still around, unlike many of my childhood passions that have long died out. And every once in a while, WWE does something to make me mark out like I'm 5 all over again.

HBK and Hart were two of my favorites growing up. My brother fell out of wrestling in the late '90s. I never did. So for him to sit down and join me in viewing this was a special treat in and of itself. I felt like it was good old 1992 all over again.

Onto the DVD. GO WATCH IT IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY. It's the best WWE DVD they've put out so far. Is it 10 out of 10 perfect? No... I still feel they could have done a LITTLE more with the potential of HBK and Hart sitting down together, but was it 9 out of 10 excellent? Yes (IMHO). The emotion was real and raw. The best part I think was toward the end when Bret spoke about the stroke in 2002, how after 10 seconds of plugging in his hospital phone the line rang and it was actually Vince McMahon calling to encourage Bret. I never knew that before, and listening to Bret tell that story warmed my heart.

One of the special things about the WWE is that over the years they have felt like, in a weird way, they have felt like family. I feel like I'm part of the whole wild, zany, wacky circus world that is professional wrestling. And when I hear stories like Bret shared, I feel like I'm a fly on the wall, witnessing beautiful moments within the business as though I actually were there.

The part that got me was when Bret said, "The stroke happened... I really believe God wanted me to come to terms with my past and all the hurt I was carrying around... that's how I reason it. Everything happens for a reason..."

He would go on to talk about reconnecting with Vince and Shawn, and how seeing the weight of the world come off Shawn's shoulders enabled the weight Bret was carrying to be taken off, as well.

And I know this is sappy, but when Bret said the turning point to reaching out to Shawn was when he saw HBK-Taker I at WM26, that just reminds me of a confluence of early 1990s WWE lore and the power of God's grace and forgiveness. Excuse me for getting a little religious here, but like Bret I believe things happen for a reason too, and the whole Bret-Shawn story is one of respect and forgiveness. It took both men over a decade, but through the grace of God (we all know Shawn's religious background and how that changed his heart) you saw how both two of wrestling's greatest reconciled.

It's just an excellent DVD, and why January 4, 2010 on RAW when Hart first came back goes down as one of the most surreal moments in WWE history. A moment I'll be telling my kids about one day when we're out on the old porch.

The DVD is compelling, a fond trip down memory lane and ultimately, you're a witness to the amazing powers of humility, maturity, healing and forgiveness.

It is beyond wrestling.

It's about life.

Overall: 9/10
-1 for HBK not being as eloquent as I'd like (he repeats or stammers a bit too much for my liking. Wasn't the storyteller with his words as Bret was, but then again, Bret remembers everything it's unbelievable, like the EXACT date he took his bike out of the garage to train again in 2002 before falling and suffering his stroke). Also a missed opportunity for Vince McMahon to be in the same room (at least for the Montreal segment)... also would have loved bonus features featuring short interview clips with Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Jimmy Hart, Marty Janetty, Earl Hebner, Vinnie Mac and Triple H

I plan to get the blu ray version of that set as I've been wanting it since it was announced. I might get it at the end of the month( other things are annoyingly keeping me from getting it at the moment ) or around the first week of next month

Now if only the E could give me a best of Punk set I'd be giddy

Also anyone know if Raw is streamed online? I'm not gonna be able to watch it on tv( lot of family coming over and I'm the only one who still watches )

WWE NXT Results: 11-8-11

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to James's complete report). Condensed here to in-ring results only.

1 - TRENT BARRETA vs. TYSON KIDD

This has the potential to be a great match. Early chain wrestling as Striker recalls seeing Tyson Kidd as "T.J." back in the day. Kidd and Barreta make chain wrestling not just technical, but fast-paced and exciting. Kidd dominates Barreta in the chain wrestling, lots of very unique moves here. Sadly, the audience is dead and unappreciative of this. Barreta clears Kidd from the ring but Kidd avoids the dive. They go back-and-forth on the autside and Kidd catapults Trent into the ringpost.

Kidd has Barreta in a Dragon Sleeper hold on the mat, he gets some separation but Kidd keeps up the assault. Double clothesline takes both men down. Matthews asks about the challenges and points, and Striker says that he works with headquarters to direct the show.

Trent hits an enziguri to turn the tide. Striker tries to explain the logic of non-Rookies being on the show as making a name for themselves and protect their spot. Trent with a cross-body off the turnbuckle that is more than halfway across the ring. Barreta with more offense, but telegraphs a back body drop, so Kidd sends him to the corner. Kidd charges, Trent puts his legs up and turns the normal boots to the face into a Warrior's Way-like double stomp to the chest, which is a great twist to shake things up. Striker points out that with the WWE Network coming up, everyone is on their toes to jockey for air time. He says that Mathews is poised to be the Chris Berman of WWE Network, all over it.

Kidd shrugs off a Dudebuster DDT, counter-attacks with a roundhouse to the head, then with a dangerous buster that looked, well, deadly. That gets him two. Kidd kicks Barreta out of the ring. Kidd looks steamed and charges Trenth, who catches Kidd in mid-leap in a powerbomb position but uses Kidd's momentum to then throw him over his head and onto the barricade, then follows up with his corkscrew moonsault off the barricade. The crowd is finally invested in this match, but Trent Barreta has had to nearly kill himself a few times for that to happen.

Kidd rolls into the ring and Trent gets an elbow drop over the rope for two. Both men are selling hard. Trent puts Tyson on the turnbuckle and tries a huracanrana, Kidd holds onto the ropes, and in mid-move, transitions it into a single leg crab, drags Barreta to mid-ring, and he taps.

WINNER: Tyson Kidd in 15:00. At a technical level, that is most likely going to be the best match from either TNA or WWE all week, if not all month. It was that good. Too bad the audience didn't have anything to sink their teeth into in terms of story or characters. This could be a PPV match, but WWE needs to learn to put some air time behind people like Barreta and Kidd who can put on a great match. It was really sad to see Trent Barreta take some pretty nasty bumps and spots (as he always does) for a match that only a few people actually care about.

2 - JIMMY USO (w/Jey Uso) vs. JTG (w/Tamina)

JTG runs to the corner to avoid Jimmy. Jimmy with a waistlock that JTG turns around. JTG takes sown Jimmy with a shoulder tackle and mocks their war dance entrance. JTG with a side headlock but Jimmy turns it into a headlock of his own. Jimmy catches JTG's foot and slaps him hard. Jimmy stays in control but JTG dumps him outside.

Jimmy fights JTG away from the ropes and goes up top, but Tamina distracts him so JTG can get in control. Matthews says that Striker is the only one on NXT not dating someone. JTG slows it down some with more generic rest holds, then gets the Mugshot for two. Striker and Mathews argue over what to discuss, Jimmy gets his full nelson sit-out slam and a stinkface for two. JTG slips out of the Samoan Drop and turns it into a suplex for two. Jimmy with a one-man Alley-Us, and goes up top for the Superfly Slash for the win.

WINNER: Jimmy Uso in 10:00. That is the first time I can recall the "already in the ring back from the break" person winning a match. This match lacked juice. At least Kidd and Barreta could use speed and high flying to get the crowd rallied, these two just couldn't get them engages. The match itself was okay.

3 - PERCY WATSON & TITUS O'NEIL vs. JOHNNY CURTIS & DERRICK BATEMAN (w/Maxine)

Watson starts with some chain wrestling with Bateman. Watson turns up the heat with a throw and dropkick, and Bateman tags Curtis in. Watson tags in O'Neil as Bateman and Mxine jaw at each other. Maxine cheers for Curtis but then defends her cheering for him. Watson and O'Neil with double teaming and rapid tags. Watson clears Bateman for no good reason, and Curtis cheapshots Watson. As the ref talks to Curtis, Bateman rams Watson into the ringpost and rolls him into the ring. Curtis keeps control over Watson.

Bateman tags in and continues the beating on Watson. Bateman runs the ropes but Watson catches him with a facebuster, and they both tag out. O'Neil with his usual hot tag routine. He shakes the ropes and does the shoulder breaker but Bateman breaks up the pin. Watson with an enziguri to send Bateman to the outside.

O'Neil tries the Clash of the Titus on Johnny, but the ref is distracted by Percy so Bateman hits him from behind. They then double-team Titus, Bateman with a chop block and Johnny with a clothesline, Bateman drags Watson out as Curtis pins O'Neil.

Post-match: Maxine looks smug on the outside as Curtis offers a Bateman a handshake. Bateman drags Maxine away but she seems reluctant to leave.

WINNER: Johnny Curtis and Derrick Bateman in 8:00.

TNA Impact Wrestling Results: 11-10-11

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to Keller's complete report). Condensed here to in-ring results only.

1 -- CRIMSON vs. "THE POPE" D'ANGELO DINERO

Taz said just walking around backstage undefeated puts a target on his back. Taz warned that Crimson shouldn't look past The Pope, though. Pope got in most of the offense in the first few minutes, but Crimson caught him flying off the top rope and turned it into his Red Sky finisher for the sudden win.

WINNER: Crimson in 3:00.

2 -- GARETT BISCHOFF vs GUNNER (w/Eric Bischoff, Ric Flair)

Garett came out to no entrance music, dressed in a white sleeveless t-shirt and slacks. Gunner stared him down like a scene out of HBO's "Oz" series when a new young prisoner arrived in the cell block. Gunner turned his back to laugh and smile at Bischoff and Flair. When he turned back, Garett armdragged him. Gunner kept his back turned when he stood up, out of a sign of disrespect. He gathered himself and charged. Garett hit another armdrag and a high hiptoss. Then he hit a backdrop. Gunner bailed out to ringside. "I didn't see this coming!" exclaimed Tenay. Flair entered and shoved the ref, so the ref DQ'd Gunner. Taz said Garett surprised himself. Garett looked like a deer in headlights, presumably by design.

WINNER: Garret via DQ in 1:00.

3 -- ZEMA ION vs. JESSE SORENSEN

Zema made a comeback, but played to the crowd before climbing to the top rope. Taz chastised him for that. Sorensen moved out of the way of his top rope flip splash, then won with his finisher.

WINNER: Sorensen in 4:00.

4 -- GAIL KIM & MADISON RAYNE (w/Karen) vs. VELVET SKY & MICKIE JAMES

They plugged Dixie Carter's Twitter account. Earlier they showed quotes from fans on Twitter saying what match at Turning Point they're most looking forward to. Tenay said they're still awaiting word on the physical condition of Storm and the status of the scheduled World Title match later. Kim shoved Mickie off the top rope a minute in, giving the heels the advantage. Kim then finished Sky with her boot-to-the-face dropdown finisher.

WINNERS: Kim & Rayne in 4:00.

5 -- ROBBIE E. & ROBBIE T. vs. RONNIE & ERIC YOUNG

Ronnie wore blue jeans and a t-shirt. Robbie E. talked a big game, but then tagged out before locking up with Ronnie. Young challenged Robbie T. to a posedown and flexed. He then mistakenly went after the ref, creating a distraction that led to him punching Robbie T. in the corner. He then hit Robbie T.'s forehead. Robbie E. tagged in and stomped away at Young at 2:00. Robbie E. spit at Ronnie. Ronnie tried to get into the ring without a tag, but the ref stopped him. Robbie E. charged at Young in the corner, but Young moved. Ronnie then tagged in and he clotheslined Robbie, then bodyslammed him. Rob Terry took notes on the ring apron. Young then hit a top rope elbow and stripped down to his leopard bikini shorts. Ronnie made the cover and scored the pin as Young fought off Robbie T. Taz said, "Somehow Eric Young ended up in his underwear. I don't know what happened with that."

WINNERS: Ronnie & Young in 4:00.

6 -- A.J. STYLES vs. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS

Tenay talked about Viacom's purchase of the majority of Bellator Fighting Championships. The announcers talked up the tournament format. Rebney touted that fighters control their destiny and earn their championships. Rebey said Styles is someone he thinks would have the best chance to transition into the Bellator Cage because he's such a great athlete. Taz said Dixie Carter would put up a fight to keep him. Rebney said no commission they fight in front of would let them bring a screwdriver into the cage. Styles nailed a Pele kick at 6:00 for a near fall. Daniels pulled a screwdriver out of the tool box that is kept under the cage. RVD ran out to ringside and yanked it away. That distraction led Styles to hitting the Styles Clash for the win. Afterward RVD and Styles shook hands.

WINNER: Styles in 7:00.

7 -- JEFF JARRETT & BULLY RAY & SCOTT STEINER vs. MR. ANDERSON & JEFF HARDY & ABYSS

After the break, Abyss was revealed as the mystery partner. Ray looked nervous and shocked. Jarrett threw a little fit. Steiner leaped to the floor as soon as Abyss entered the ring. Jarrett tagged out to avoid an early clash with Hardy. Tenay hyped the possibility of Roode vs. Storm up next.

At 6:00 Abyss hot-tagged in and went after all three heels, his former Immortal teammates. It didn't get much of a pop, but after Abyss's character has been so badly damaged in the last few years, it's no surprise. Ray attacked Abyss from behind, but Hardy then gave Ray a Twist of Fate followed by a sudden Swanton. Jarrett, the legal man in the ring, gave Hardy a Stroke, though. He then ate a Mic Check from Anderson. Steiner then gave Anderson a belly-to-belly. Steiner went after Abyss, but Abyss countered with a Black Hole Slam for the win.

WINNER: Abyss in 12:00.

-Storm's music played, but he didn't walk out at first. Then he stumbled onto the stage, covered in blood. Tenay asked, "What is he thinking?" He looked like he was right out of "The Walking Dead."

8 -- ROBERT ROODE vs. JAMES STORM

Storm charged into the ring with a surge of energy and tackled Roode. That was about all he had, though, and the ref soon called off the match. Roode even looked concerned and helped Storm to his feet. Roode then rolled up Storm and insisted the ref count a pin. The ref did, reluctantly. Styles, Kaz, and Sting ran out to check on Storm as Roode retreated.

WINNER: Roode in 2:00.

WWE Superstars Results: 11-10-11

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to James's complete report). Condensed here to in-ring results only.

1 - JUSTIN GABRIEL vs. CURT HAWKINS

I was curious why they put this match on, given that Hawkins is supposed to have a broken ankle. Pre-match, Hawkins tucks his cane under the ring apron. Striker says that ref Scott Armstrong is too old to notice. Hawkins ducks out of the ring, then come in to chain wrestle with Gabriel for a bit. Some quick back-and-forth and Gabriel has Hawkins in an armbar. Hawkins gets out and goes on offense, but Gabriel blocks and armdrag and catches Curt with a leg sweep to regain control. He sends Curt to the outside and gets a big corkscrew plancha. Hawkins attacks Gabriel back in the ring, Gabriel sends him outside but sells a leg injury.

Hawkins in control back from the break, and he's continuing to work the leg. Gabriel rolls through a single-leg crab to get back on his feet. Kicks and a forearm get him a knockdown, and he slips out of a suplex. He dodges Curt in the corner and gets a roundhouse for two. Hawkins with his funky bodyslam, but Gabriel catche shim on the ropes and turns it into a side slam of sorts which gets two. He tries to go to the turnbuckle but the leg injury slows him and Hawkins meets him there, and nails a belly-to-back suplex from the second rope for two. Nice variation on the superplex. Hawkins retrieves his cane, but Gabriel with an enziguri to the head before he can use it, so the ref lets the match continue. Gabriel goes up top for the 450 Splash for the win.

WINNER: Justin Gabriel in 10:00. Okay match, but they were heavily selling injuries, which slowed the pace down a bit. Hawkins is a good in the mid-card to put over opponents, and Gabriel has some real upside.

2 - ALEX RILEY vs. MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY

McGillicutty needs to lose the backwards cap - it makes him look like a goofy frat boy. McG wins and early lockup and Riley looks dismayed. There's some early back and forth, but Alex gets in some decent offense. McGillicutty kicks his leg and then a kick to the head. McGillicutty with fists in the corner and a cover gets two. He retains control for a stretch. Riley's trunks are ripped and he's half hanging out in the rear. Riley turns it around with basic power offense. Spinbuster, but A-Ry shows off instead of covering. Riley dodges a kneelift and grabs McGillicutty and hits his finisher for the win. He's heavily selling the leg.

WINNER: Alex Riley in 8:00. This was just out there. McGillicutty really needs someone to carry him in matches, and it seems like Riley is lacking something for the audience to invest in.

3 - DANIEL BRYAN vs. WILLIAM REGAL

Daniel Bryan has new music, a rock version of Ride of the Valkyries, like if Trans-Siberian Orchestra did it. I fully expect this match to excel, and I may have to take back my declaration of the Trent Barreta-Tyson Kidd match from NXT as the Match of the Month front runner.

William Regal gets a sick pop in his hometown, but some goofy, "such a man, a real man" music then interrupts him and he busts out laughing. He can't keep a straight face for the remainder of his entrance. Regal in the face corner. Earlier in the show, Striker talked up the teacher-student relationship here.

Bryan wins an early lock-up against the bigger Regal, and they break. They trade wrist locks. Regal eventually rolls through, surprisingly enough for his size, does a leg takedown, and moves to a brief submission hold after failing to get the Regal Stretch. More wrist locks and Regal dodges a dropkick and wags his finger. Bryan with a waistlock but Regal gets out with a wristlock. The crowd is loving this, and really is enjoying the chain wrestling. Brief "Bryan" chant, and they trade European uppercuts. Regal backs off at the ref's command. Test of strength which Regal wins and forces Bryan to the ground. Bryan kips up, hits kicks, then with a belly-to-back suplex. Regal goes outside and Bryan does his knee-first jump from the apron. Bryan lets Regal recover on the outside.

Bryan his Regal in a chinlock. Regal muscles out and takes Bryan to the corner. He promises to be a good boy after the ref backs him out, and Bryan with a big series of kicks to put Regal in the corner. Bryan twisting up Regal's leg in the ropes, then dropkicks the leg. Bryan with kicks to the knee and Striker points out Regal's taped knee. Regal with the exploder suplex to turn things around, but Regal is selling the leg and slow to get up. Regal with a sort of reverse cravat but he breaks it to start punching Bryan in the head. Regal gets mean and the crowd cheers.

Regal with a series of kneelifts in the corner, but Bryan catches it, takes Regal down by the leg, drops to the ringside, and slams Regal's leg onto the ringpost. He repeats the attack and Regal tries beating feeling back to his lef. Bryan with a knee drop and torqueing on the leg. Regal kicks out, but Bryan gets the leg again and moves to a sing leg crab variant. Regal kicks him away again, and a second time and third time when Bryan grabs the leg. So odd to hear "boo" and "yay" from the crowd not for punches or kicks, but for submission hold attempts and escapes. Regal turns it around, takes Bryan down, and drops a big elbow drop. They trade uppercuts, but Bryan surprises Regal with a roundhouse kick to play up being the heel. Bryan slaps on the LeBell Lock and Regal taps immediately.

Post-match, Bryan claps it up for Regal, and Regal shakes Bryan's hand. Bryan encourages the crowd to cheer Regal.

Winner: Daniel Bryan in 10:00. Very good match if you enjoy technical and submission wrestling. I enjoyed previous matches between these two a bit more, but I just loved this crowd giving Regal the hometown treatment and buying into a submission and chain wrestling battle. I give the Barreta-Kidd match a slight edge for excitement factor, but you should hit this one up on replay as well.
