That's the price you pay for buying from a retailer for convenience. Most people who go that route (Dell, Best Buy, etc.) don't usually care or even know what is on their computer anyways.

Very true, it's harder to do now with the clean install as they don't even include the software disk. You have to make one. After I did my clean install and just loaded everything on there myself I am extremely satisfied with Windows 7.

Yeah, I could build my own car --but I don't care about learning all the shit involved and I'm happy to buy one from a dealer.

clean install is actually quite easy. The evidence is that I have accomplished it. A clean install of an operating system will make your machine run circles around any other machine with all the crap loaded on it. It's the only way to go.
