So far.. Microsoft's announcements are fairly uninteresting.

Minecraft for XBLA was cool I guess..

Tomb Raider reboot is the best thing shown so far.

Kinect is pulling out all the stops, especially with Ghost Recon. I agree with the Tomb Raider demo. It's probably the only thing worth watching.

The Tomb Raider demo was the only interesting thing about the conference. The rest of the it I found uninteresting.

So wierd.

Square-Enix is releasing Tomb Raider games and Dead Island. What a strange precipice we've come to.

Tomb Raider looks pretty damn good. I haven't been interested in a tomb raider game since the first one.

Agreed. Never did I imagine a day when most every AAA Japanese game dev house would have a hyphen in it's name (due to consolidation), the Western aesthetic would become the dominant trend, & Wolf Team (among others) would be gone entirely.

W/ the exception of xbla & cave STGs on 360, I'm not much of a 21st Century Digital Boy at all...

Rememeber when there use to be good games?

are you talking about at e3 or just in the 'look-at-me-i'm-so-jaded-i-think-all-games-made-in-the-past-10-years-suck' sense?

Good games still come out and will continue to come out in the future. I could list off a murderer's row of quality titles but there's no point. We all know they're out there.

Same here brah. I really hope Nintendo destroys 'em again this year.

Seriously, that's all Microsoft has? Stop pushing Kinect on us dammit.

I know right? They were late to the fad, it's done with now, they should go back to focusing on real games again.

God damn the kinect is lame, as is all the motion based system add-on trend. My daughter is s big MJ fan and my wife asked about getting her this MJ Experience game for the 360 but it needs kinect....yeah, that aint happening in my house.

Kinect spies on you and reports back to Microsoft regarding the items in your living room, and the items you consume. Drinking a Coke on the couch? Kinect sees it.

It also watches you masturbate.

MJ Experience is best played on the Wii or PS3. 360 w/ Kinect surprisingly doesn't have a lot of songs that require movement. It's more karaoke than anything else.

The water on the camera lens thing is WAY overdone in that demo, though. A little bit adds atmosphere. But they do it to the point it's obtrusive and obscures gameplay. You're supposed to be playing as Lara, not the cameraman standing behind her, so it doesn't even make sense to have the camera being obscured thing so prominent. Plus, the water droplets on the lens are too uniform in size and placement, which makes the whole effect look really artificial. I hope they refine it and tone it way down.
