I've been to Detroit many times.. I will tell you this... they could put me in an armored SWAT vehicle and I still wouldn't fucking live there.
If the asshole of the world had an armpit, it would be Detroit.
Even the 'burbs of detroit are a shit pit.

I can see why the mayor would be against it. It would be a seven foot tall admission of defeat. But it's a little unrealistic to think Detroit's image could be any worse.

Seriously though, they either need a real OCP or metalczar could just fund the Detroit restoration project with his big tymer funds.

Not only should they erect Robo and ED-209 statues, but I want a mural of my Av to go along with it. Plus, they should have RoboCop day at Comerica Park where folks dressed in cosplay from the franchise get into a Tigers game for free.
Make all of this happen, Detroit. Give American pop culture something to really be proud of, not Miguel Cabrera's annual drunken outburst.

I've been a fan of the movie since I was a kid, even own it. The movie itself is NOT a good movie, watching it is fun and it's about as off-the-wall as you can get. But just because it's a cult classic ( a hand handful of people adore it) does not automatically mean it's a good movie.
