Perhaps you dont find it interesting, but this is the most interesting thing I can think of, next to music.

People in this thread actually care. Can you respect that and stop ignorantly trolling it up? I dont want to block your posts, some of them are great. But please.

I hope every protesting group is successful. These are exciting times. Rename this thread "once upon a time...the revolution."

I thought that trolling was being purposefully douchy. Just because I swear and disagree doesn't mean I'm trying to fuck your shit up. I'm just trying to better understand the situation.

I hope all the revolutions fail and a totalitarian regime fills the power void in Egypt. The Israelis and probably Iran have the bomb, we don't want the Middle East getting destabilized.

Dude fuck you.

'Trying to better understand the situation'? You just got done saying its tl;dr and not very interesting to boot. So yeah you're trying to understand the thread by not reading it.

I hope you're going destabilized and you meltdown and off the forums.

There's (unconfirmed) reports of unarmed women and children being shot, and explosions in Pearl Roundabout. There appear to be no reporters on the scene to verify.

Nice, thanks.

Have you read the stories where the dictators in several of these countries are offering one time payments to all their citizens in attempts to quell the unrest?

LOL - I can't wait till these fuckers get overthrown and the people assert their natural rights.

This one:

They hosed her off and shipped her home. I eagerly await the (probable) movie based off the book based off this ordeal.

In Bahrain: There are at least two dead (edit: confirmed, but there may be more). Protesters were hit with rubber rounds and teargas canisters. The closest hospital to Pearl Roundabout where the injured were brought is ringed with riot police which are currently skirmishing with a mass of VERY pissed off protesters. (edit: The Roundabout has been cleared of protesters and is occupied by the police.)

Libya: Protesters are gearing up for their own "day of rage" after being attacked by Libya's security force and paid thugs for the last two days of protests.

Yemen: Two protesters are dead. Protesters have been occupying Yemeni University in Sanaa while being attacked by thugs over the past several days.

Libya is actually one of the most stable and economically growing countries in africa.

Ghadafi is a fucking nutjob but protests in Libya surprise me a bit, Iran however - not so much and we know how the iranian government reacts to protests of any kind, don't we? :help:

That's the problem with Ghadafi, he IS nuts.
Ben Ali was a bully and a coward, Mubarak was a strong-man in every sense of the term (including the weaknesses), but Gahdafi is flat-out unhinged, supervillain-style. I'm sure in his twisted little head that he's convinced himself, and surrounded himself with yes-men to reinforce the belief, that this is ALL an elaborate American/Israeli plot to depose him.

All of it.

All for him.

A classic narcissist; Which would make hum a tougher nut to crack than either Ben Ali or Mubarak. However, his (literal) fatal flaw is his fragile health. If he's on dialysis, as rumored, the stress alone of dealing with an uprising could kill him.

Looks like the government of Bahrain cracked down hard on the protesters. I hope they continue to defy their government.

4 killed, over 200 injured (confirmed). Martial law declared. Gatherings are banned. Crackdown in progress.
