Holy shit! The line up for #Bonnaroo just went over the top tonight...beyond thrilled. Great line up and some once in a lifetime shows."

Oh shit, Primus? I've wanted to see them live for years, I might have to go just for them.

Obviously Eminem and Weezy are wastes of headliner spots. But whatever.

Yeah no kidding. Bootsy Collins's band too.

Dr. John with the Original Meters is a win.

This is a big year for funk.

There will be more big announcements probably.

Electronica is weaksauce this year. Beats Antique needs to be latenight to help salvage that department. Bassnectar/Pretty Lights/Girl Talk?? They werent even trying...

I'm stoked for Wiz Khalifa. Neil Young.

Good stuff.

lol who made that lineup? pitchfork.com?

Not interested.

I would want to see 5 of those performers. 5. That's all. And that doesn't include any of the rappers.

Really unfortunate that the Daft Punk rumors were untrue.

I'm going to really try to make it this year though. We will have to meet up down there.

AC Ent is turning into a pretty awful machine.

I'm going to sneak in AS USUAL.

You would love a lot more than 5 if you went.

You have to keep in mind that bringing in a pitchfork.com lineup will obviously attract pitchfork.com readers...

That's a huge strike against. However, a sign that local retailers will need to stock more plaid and skinny jeans.

Dude 80% of them wouldnt even go to Bonnaroo to see their favorite bands. Its hardcore, and uncomfortable if you dont know how to camp at a festival.

You get the best of the hipsters at Bonnaroo, I assure you.

Ive been to 6 in a row. I was there when Radiohead headlined and they sold more tickets than they ever have since or prior, by 20,000.

Its really not that bad. I shit you not, the scetchyness factor has been declining steadily since Phish broke up and all the dope fiends had no home on the road. Now that hes opiate clean the scene is way different, no large scale smack scene.

I'm counting four bands on there I'd want to see... two of which I've seen live before.

Yeah and then the other 80% of those names are ones youve never ever seen before, don't recognize, and should probably look up or something.

Theres a shitload of great music on the undercard and midcard of this lineup. If you dont see that then you seriously need to listen to a lot more different kinds of music.

The headliners are shit.

Maybe arcade fire is good. I have no idea. Never heard them before.

Arcade fire?! Why ate people still listening to them?

Otherwise, yeah I might enjoy the undercards a lot more but the lineup just isn't gripping me.

I agree.

Its sour grapes for me, but I am a perennial optimist.

And Im going to go for free, and camp approx 2 minutes walking from the center area, for free.

So I'm going to have a great time regardless. Its a killer party and you never get to see all the shows you want to, and end up seeing a bunch of great stuff you werent expecting. :)

You're right. It's not about the music. It will probably be a lot of fun.

It really is about the music though.

What I meant is that its not about the headliners.

Without Bela Fleck, Abigail Washburn, Bootsy, Dr. John, Beats Antique, etc etc I wouldnt be going.

but I go in accepting that I will miss something I wanted to see and will see a bunch of stuff I didnt plan on, that was tight.

Dude, be serious with yourself. You don't sit out a massive party just because the host isn't playing music you really want to hear. You go to the party because it's going to be a good time, regardless of the host's taste in music.

Meh I had a reply, but I give up. You are correct. Bonnaroo's legacy is extremely good. I'm always on board.

Weezy and Eminem is pathetic though. I'm still not over that sting.

I kind of want you to argue against my point because it would help give me a reason not to make the trip.
