Like Spin, the moment you hear JC you automatically think Julia Chang. Namco didn't work hard enough to cover this one up.

Article explains Heihachi young appearance. His company has found a medicial discovery and it allowed Heihachi to turn back the biological clock. Jinpachi is going to be playable in his Tekken 5 boss form.

wat

It's a gaiden game, is that bit of info really needed?

that podcast that Sexual posted is pretty informative. They said that they tested Tekken Tag without the bound system because many people complained about it and they said people liked it better with bound HOWEVER they said they it'll probably be tweaked and not exactly the same as 6.

They also said rage is going to be tweaked as well. It'll probably go back to the old Netsu system which makes me very happy.

Gaiden means side story. Sometimes they are canon sometimes they aren't but in Tekken's case it's not canon.

23 new images of the game. Yoshi once again has a new space-ninja-demon-alien outfit.

EDIT: just found some more on another link.

Yoshi become an alien Budda. I love it!

Uh, gaiden games ARE non canon.
Every KOF dream match, the first tekken tag. c'mon dude.

Gaiden means side story. They can be canon just as much as a main series game. In this case it appears non canon.

Bumptastic...

New info up at Zaibatsu
http://www.versuscity.net/2011/02/10/tekken-tag-2-info-via-famitsu/

"This time around, it will be your partner who will go into rage mode once the requirements are met. Oh yeah, and the requirements to go into rage mode will depend on the characters in your team. So it may be easier or harder to activate it depending on your character choice."

I interpret this paragraph in a different manner to the guys at Zaibatsu. To me it sounds like rage will trigger faster if you have 2 characters which share some sort of affinity. For example if you pick Baek/Hwoarang, Paul/Law, King/Marduk rage will trigger faster than if you picked two characters which have no relationship or in the case of the Mishima's it may not trigger at all.

There is also a new "Stage Gimmick" addition.

http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2011/02/09/tekken_tag_update/

This week, the magazine reveals the game's new "Stage Gimmick" system. The example of this system that's shown in Famitsu has the player slamming his opponent into wall. The wall breaks, and the opponent goes flying, landing in a new area of the battle field where the fight continues. In Famitsu's example, it just so happens that the player's partner character is waiting where the opponent lands, allowing the player to continue the attack for major damage.

Seems kinda neat. It'll obviously make the combos look cooler.

Maaaaaan I just know this shit better not be like Tekken 6 except it's just your partner who gets the rage. I gathered as much as you did from what they said and thats what it sounds like(teams who have a connection) but that shit needs to be like Tekken Tag's Netsu with a 4-5 second time limit.

I'm sick and fuckin tired of these "pat you on the butt" modes like Rage and Revenge Meters/Ultras for the children who can't play. Companies need to bring these games back to their roots.

Question for all the Tekken experts here, are there any major differences between the PS3 and 360 versions of Tekken 6?

^I dont know if there are gameplay differences but I think graphically their are very similar, and to be honest I never quite liked the look on either version with or without blur turned on (toggling motion blur had some effects in graphics). I sincerily hope for Namco to optimize their engine so TTT2 won't look as jaggy as T6.

I'm not aware of any major differences between the two versions. I've only seen graphical differences. I own both versions and the 360 version has more jaggies and the colors are slightly lighter.

I've noticed on the PS3 version the game sometimes slows down when someone hits "rage". Not sure if this occurs on 360 as well.

Apparently Shodown 1 and 2 will be the only fighters where a rage system was done right. :shame:

While you're at it Namco, slow down how long one slides off the wall. Maybe my opponent can throw in an unblockable before I hit the ground. :hammer:

To the end!

I saw somewhere that this game will have weapons. Does that worry anyone else besides me? I was really looking forward to this one until i saw that.

Tekken 6 had them too, it was just stuff like Bryan's shotgun you could buy. They make almost no impact on the game at all.
