Do you consider the country's problems irreconcilable though democratic means?

no, anything's possible

but i don't see things getting meaningfully better before our country goes through a very painful bout of austerity measures

A bump in the road on the way to hell.

It's gonna get worse than that and there is nothing you or I can do about it.
Just get out of the way and hide.

just tryin to stay positive here bro :D

hoping this place doesn't turn into merc's wet dream :oh_no:

kind of curious as to how low our debt can keep increasing at 10-12% a year while our economy grows at 3% ...

sometimes i feel like i'm the only one who finds this troublesome

I do too.

I'm also paying close attention to the labor camps they are building and have already built on American soil.
Just start typing "American FEMA......" and let google fill in the rest, lolz.

When a used up junkie whore is no longer hot enough to make a buck, she'll turn her kid out.

And when America, a country that no longer builds or produces anything has to pay off it's creditors, it too will give up something dear to it.
Like it's freedom, perhaps?

you missed my point entirely

to summarize, yes, they're scumbags, but they're small fish scumbags

Not really, They are there to stop the big fish....

They are the King fish.

they kind of do matter. Many people in this country are disenfranchised because of people in power like Clarence Thomas. He has taken money through his wife from big business and obviously it affects his decision making.

Seeing guys like Scalia refusing to recuse themselves from cases that they have a conflict of interest in is infuriating. These two judges deserve to be skinned alive with their pelts hung from the walls of the supreme court as reminders that evil exists in this world, but that people should not tolerate it idly. If someone has a conservative political leaning, fine. I respect that. But don't fuck around with the system, ignoring where bias obfuscates righteousness.

i am very sure that we are witnessing the slow collapse of ALL political systems.
these political systems have, through bureaucracy and pomp, made themselves to appear inseparable from a CIVILIED SOCIETY.
the great thing is --- nothing could be further from the truth.
so, when i lampoon "POLITICS" with a family guy reference, it's not a reflection of apathy.
it's got more to do with me refusing the system my awareness, and in turn, speeding up it's collapse.

or:

‎"From indignities that the beasts themselves would not endure you can free yourselves by simply willing it. Resolve to serve no more, and you are free. Withdraw your support from the Colossus that crushes you, and it will crumble in the dust."

it's got more to do with speeding up the process of these systems collapse by refusing to grant them my awareness.

RAYPHEX, are you still a practicing FREEMASON?

Because, while I agree with the bulk of your post. I feel there might be some important SUBTEXT. Care to elaborate?

I thought nes was the freemason. Don't tell me we got a bunch of them running around here. Almost as bad as scientologists.

cant spell imply without lie
wait...

edit- in all seriousness, there was a time when i was actively engaged in joining freemasonry
curiosity and all
this process, for me, took over 4 months
and was very, very weird
i don't think my ethnic/social background gave me any bonus points in their eyes
eventually, we stopped dancing.
