I disagree, I don't think that kind of punishment is productive at all.

what an asshole.
kids breaking shit is part of growing up.

This is how you would parent a teenager, not a fucking child.

bad parent is bad.

What he said - they're fucking kids.

And even if a teen did it i'd have them work it off, rather than sell off their shit.

It could be worse though, the parent could have destroyed the toys which would really fuck with the kids.

Yeah dad seems to take joy in being a dick.

Its not like they ruins the bathtub in a weekend.

Does Dad shower so infrequently he just didnt notice for months?

Honestly, one of the last people I expected to come in and drop that comment.

There's no way they have a master bathroom and another that is for the kids/guest and he just doesn't see it often. Crazy talk!

I know when I lived in a house with multiple full baths (we would clean our own areas) I would go a LONG TIME before seeing the other ones. Not that difficult to see happening.

I am in full agreement with this punishment. Would you rather he teach them by beating them? This kind of punishment will make them think twice about doing stupid shit. If they had stopped and one scrape or something, then I could understand this is a bit far, but by the sound of the damage, this went on for a while with complete disregard for what they were doing. I think this is a great punishment.

I don't see anything wrong with making the kids pay.

Hilarious auction.

I wanna make fun of this beyblade stuff as it does look pretty lame, but when I was a kid we were into pogs... this looks at least better than that stupid shit.

I need to see if somebody put the episode of the cartoon when the gang goes to New York City. It's fucking hilarious. They chase this thief down that tries to steal an artifact out of a museum and to cut the guy off the one kid spins his top into the wheel of a tuck carrying lumber logs, in the middle of the city and cuts the thief off. Then they cap the show off by having a huge tournament at Yankee Stadium.

Only the Japanese could turn spinning tops into an epic quest story. I get it with Pokemon and Digimon because the 'mon's are living creatures so the kids don't want to see them get hurt. But watching Bayblade they yell at the tops like it's a life and death struggle and when they win they say "You did a great job!" meaning, the top.

But I'd be lying if I didn't say I would have loved this as a kid. My aunt got me "Battle Tops" when I was 9 years old for Christmas and I loved it. I would have eaten this shit up to be able to buy different types of blades for the tops then just generic dreidel looking things.

Pogs were a total waste, that fad died in a hurry. Seemed like no one even played with them, they would just fill up those Pog binders.

i don't see it as a problem putting them up for sale. if my kids had done that i would have taken them off them and they would have been in trouble.

kids will be kids but they need to know boundaries.

I did the pog thing, but I was honestly more interested in X-men Ultra Fleer collecting (1995-1997) and Chatter Rings (1994).

Still got my full set of 96, it's amazignthat I actually managed to get all of them on no income at all.

Thanks for this, I needed a laugh. If I were the father, I would have done the same. I mean, it's not like the kid could pay for the damage.

Fake i think, but if not shits disgusting. kids are kids. they dont give a shit about breaking things. what were the parents doing while the kids destroyed the enamel of the bath. probably sat on there fat arses watching TV. and who the fuck makes there child stand in front of a camera with there toys which there going to sell. parents sound like the kids. fuckers ought to grow up.

This is a great way to make your kids into the same gigantic yam bags as yourself.

Kids are kids and yes, they need discipline, but I highly doubt they did this "one day". Something this severe in terms of punishment smacks of some deep seated mental issues with the dad. Either he's humiliating them because he thinks it's funny or he's really f'd up and wants to make an example of those kids. Taking their pic? Yeah, that won't fuck with them.

If you truly love your kids because they're YOUR KIDS and not YOUR POSSESSIONS, then you wouldn't do this.

Your kids mental health is less important to you than a fucking tub? Really?

I don't care what anyone says, this isn't something those kids will get over... and not in a good way.

When some of you have kids and the impact you can make on them with the littlest things becomes very obvious, you'll understand.
