Damn Seta, I had no idea how much you really wanted one of these. Looks like you did the right thing by not picking up my nerd stick.......wait:(....I mean not buying my Luke ROTJ FX.

And lol at Charlies reply.

I never understood the fascination with the RotJ Luke lightsaber. It's the lamest looking one in the entire Original Trilogy, imo. The one Ben gives Luke in the first movie is a million times cooler. Of course, everything in that movie is a million times cooler than RotJ anyway.

Do you mean the fascination with the FX version of just the Saber hilt in general?

The hilt in general. Luke had a cool lightsaber in New Hope and Empire. Then he dropped it like a dumbass and the one he built to replace it looked like shit.

I did. The Return of the Jedi saber resembles Obi Wan's in A New Hope. Personally, I like Mace Windu's in Revenge of the Sith.

the absolute only thing any normal person should see as what differs between lightsabers is the color of the light saber itself

how the hell you people pay that much close attention to such detail is baffling

I still have my replicas in the box that the boxed lightsaber came shipped in. I didn't know that people were still looking for these.

To the OP: Is that the Hasbro or the Master Replica version?

That I understand then.
I don't think the hilt design itself was/is such a big deal with fans (however, check out the Elite Edition the MR did, that thing is fuckin ballin....for a nerd item), it was the fact that pieces like MR's LE hilt, thier original FX saber were released in smaller runs at times when they sold out quickly and mania insued amongst dorks round the globe.

Personally, I like Mace Windu's in Revenge of the Sith.

It's a cool design....but it does kinda look like a blinged out vibrator.

I think it's just a matter of having seen each movie at least one time and not being in a persistent vegetative state.

Cool original lightsaber:

Lame replacement saber:

It's not difficult, stage. They are pretty different.

If you want to get technical the one from IV and V wasn't really Luke's to begin with.

Okay, nes. So if you didn't BUILD YOUR CAR YOURSELF FROM PARTS, it's not "yours"? Interesting philosophy.

Ownership is 9/10 of the law. It was given to Luke = it's Luke's.

They build up building your own lightsaber as part of your Jedi training, so sort of.

They go into some detail about that in "Shadows of the Empire", which is one of the only extended universe books I've read that I thought was good.

Not until... the third movie. Which was convenient. Yoda never mentioned it in Empire. Ben never said anything in New Hope, either. He just handed Luke his dad's lightsaber and said, "Here. You are good to go."
