I taped it on my DVR and haven't gotten around to see it yet. I'll try and watch it tonight or tomorrow.

I love the Venture brothers. The first ep is better the second time or freshly after watching last seansons finale. Eps 2 was the usually stuff we see from the Ventures. Eps 3 did feel like a rehash of some of the ideas they used in some of the other seasons. I can't say I care for the image changes in the characters. Hank trying to look cool but still a doofus. Dean actually wearing the "speedsuit" and now with lip hair. And I need more Brock, Hatred is OK but a poor substitute. I really hope they bring 24 back I love his Ray Romano voice.

Maybe Patric Warburton is too busy to be in the show or something (doing what who the hell knows). He's only been in 1 ep this season and Brock came in without any dialogue in the last episode.

I hope he sticks around to play Brock. Not having Stephen Colbert play Dr. Impossible was kinda lame.

Best thing to take away from this past episode was Doc and Sheila sharing a cool, sitting under the roof while it's raining moment, just talking about stuff.

Their already up to the season finale? What's the deal? How many episodes was that? There wasn't even 10 episodes! I might have the episode count wrong, but I can't believe they said season Finale already. It's been one of the best seasons yet and I don't want to wait for the next one in another year or two.

Looking at the latest post on Jackson Publick's blog, it looks like the season is broken up into two parts (4.1 and 4.2). As of November 15th he was finishing the audio mix for the first finale of the season (4.1) and had finished writing the finale for the second half (4.2). So, looks like there is more to come. They'll probably break until sometime in January then pick up again.

Actually, this is further down in his blog:

"As readers of this LiveJournal are well aware, we split our fourth season into two halves of eight episodes each, so this is the first of eight episodes airing consecutively through the fall. The second eight will air some time next spring...because we're making those now. "

So instead of the usual 13 episodes a season, we're getting 16 this season, broken into two halves. Not bad at all. Hopefully this means Cartoon Network is finally taking them seriously and won't jerk them around with the "are we being picked up for another season?" crap they normally do to them (causing the nice year to two year gap between seasons).

Ah, gotcha. The way they announced it was like it was the end of the 4th season, see you next year or whenever we feel like renewing the contract!

That's a new TV thing, this mid-season crap. So you get half the show, they leave you hanging for a couple of months, then finish off the rest. Kinda like what South Park does, but it's not a continuing story like VB is.

This season is interesting, like they are breaking everyone down in their own ways to turn them into a new version of each character. Can't wait to see what goes on with Brock in the half-finale, barely been any of him.

This season is so damned weird, mainly because it feels like it's not going anywhere, there's no progression.

It's al character progression & growth right now. It's a bit slow, but it's actually interesting when you take it all in. It's gonna pay off.

Sorry I haven't bumped it with each new episode. I don't know what to say. This whole season has depressed the piss out of me. 24 ragequitting in the season finale mirrored myself, I just feel so done with this series now. Pretty much every episode this season was about nothing, like there was no real progression to whatever aim there was. The whole set-up with Phantom's new revenge society lead to nowhere. Never revealed why Monarch hates Venture (for fuck's sake).

I loved the scene with Brock and Mol, even if it was sad.

I don't know. I suppose I'm in the minority here. Guess I'll read the adult swim boards and see what they think. Maybe Doc and Jack posted there.

It was great when the show was a parody of Jonny Quest and everything else. It was great when the parody took itself seriously. And now it just feels like it's gotten too...'real'. I don't know how else to describe this. I'm at a loss, maybe I saw way too much of myself this season.

You guys really have no idea how much this show has meant to me. Just kinda depressed over this now.

Seems like that was kind of the point of this season.

But that was the point of the whole show really.

I thought the finale was downright amazing, alot of things got pieced together. 24 ragequitting brought 21 to peace, and that shitstorm with him and the mrs. being brought to monarch's attention was great too.

The whole Hulk thing had me rolling.

I thought it was freakin' great. I really love this show, what can I say. I came to it late, too, so I watched most of it in a short period of time.

Here's hoping for a fifth season, coming to us soon in 2018.

Really enjoyed the whole season. There are a couple duds and sme of the jokes we're forced, but overall venture bros remains a really fun watch. You can tell that dc and publick put a lot of care into each ep and this finale was great culmination of a lot of things the show stood for.

It feels like a lot of things were wrapped up and Brock came to the realization that happiness was always right in front of him. And it was good to see 21 evolve as well. It felt great to get a lot of thee dangling elements out of the way.

The next season will be a good opertunity to have a fresh start on things and Kane even advance the timeline forward a year or two.

The last five minutes of this episode were just epic. Great choice of song with pulp's like a friend. Sad to see that Mol and Brock are finally over.

I really liked the finale.

How many more years until the next six episodes? :annoyed:

We probably won't see anything until Fall of 2011 at the earliest.

Season 1: mid 2004
Season 2: mid 2006
Season 3: mid 2008
Season 4.1: late 2009
Season 4.2: late 2010

The shortest gap between seasons was from 2008-2009, but that was only eight episodes.

I'm putting my money on early 2012(!), possibly Spring.

2011 might be the first Venture-Free year since 2007:confused:

Anyways, how awesome is the character's costume design in this show? It never ceases to amaze me how good a lot of these designs are. Everything just seems iconic about the way characters look.

I wonder how long Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick will continue to live in the Venture Playground, because I'd like to see them do something else in animation. Fantastic artists.

The animation is the only real thing holding this show back sometimes. It can be very inconsistent and often lacks the dynamism of some of the episodes in the first season. Season 3 had a lot of good animation as well, whereas season 2 disappointed me. Season 4 was all over the place, but they went all out with the last episode, and I appreciate that.

I know this really is a low budget show (which is why Doc and Jackson do most of the voices), so I'll have to live with the sometimes inconsistent animation. I'm not trying to say this show doesn't look great (far, far from it), but I just like to nit-pick about animation. I would love to see a feature length Venture special with a killer animation budget...

I really wish they would switch over to hour-long episodes after seeing the finale.
