I can't get over the show's season schedule. They show the first half of each season in March and April, and then wait six months to air the second half in October and November. The breaks between separate seasons are actually shorter than the breaks in the middle of each season. :spock:

Tonight's episode was decent, but it felt kind of padded out.

It was pretty good, but there was no WAY they were going to top the 2nd episode in that series.

I really enjoyed the way they wrapped it up --Mysterion/Kenny actually got even better (especially the bits with the pistol). I liked the surprise hero at the end.

I'm also happy they totally dropped Captain Hindsight.

This episode didn't feel padded to me, rather that they realized what the best parts of the story were and opted to just stick to those.

"I'm going to bed..." :lolz:

Also, I recognized the kitty bit, but I couldn't remember which cartoon it was originally from --anyone remember?

Is this the first season we've heard Kenny's non-muffled voice?

Other than the movie, I think you're right --unless, of course, you count the first Mysterion/Coon episode.

Incidentally, the tied an older explanation of Kenny to this one.

That has to be right- and he only has one un-muffled line in that.

On topic regarding the actual episode, seemed like kind of a letdown. No resolution on Kenny, too much stuff on Mintberry Crunch, too much stuff on Cartman and Cthulu, just kind of there.

I don't think they wanted a resolution on Kenny --I don't know what would happen to the show if he somehow found out how to reverse his power.

At least Justin Bieber died.

That's the joke. Kenny doesn't have a higher purpose. His parents just got involved in the cult and now he's cursed.

I hope Bradley makes future appearances.

And oh yeah, Coon called him the Human Kike, so, good job Bob.

I liked the concluding part better than the last 2 parts, thought the end was funny.

There was also the Michael Jackson ("Mr. Jefferson") episode when they disguised him as Blanket.

That's at least the second time they've spoofed the Looney Tunes (they also did it in the episode set at the handicap camp). Good to see 'em referencing good classics.

The entire post-9/11 episode that had Bin Laden had him redoing tons of Looney Tunes stuff with Cartman.

i've been watching south park since season 1. this season (well, at least the 2nd half that starts back up in October) has been somewhat of a disappointment so far. The first 2 Coon episodes were kind of dumb, but the 3rd was better. I hope they step their game up for the remainder of this season.

I wonder when they decided to make Mysterion be Kenny is disguise. I loved how they ended the first Coon episode where he just showed off his face and joke because almost every kid has the same exact face. For all we know it could have been Pip come back to life.

I loved seeing how it went on from all three episodes. Getting to hear more of Kenny is always great. He does speak, but it was great to see him come back at Kyle and Cartman and understand him. I wonder if they'll keep this as a running gag where the audience and Kenny knows he can't die but everybody else doesn't. The last part with him saying "Fuck it, I'm going to bed." was the best way to end it.

I did laugh out loud when Cartman VERY clearly called Kyle the "Human Kike."

Pretty clearly eliminated any ambiguity on that one.

i wasn't sure if they were referencing The Never Ending Story video with Limahl (or if anybody else got that reference) so here it is, 20 seconds into the clip:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MccmHwA-c4U

Wow! I think you got it.

EDIT: BTW, if you want to direct link a video to a time mark, just add #t=00m20s to the very end with whatever time. Alas it does not work with our embedding tags, but direct links do work.

Example:

I really enjoyed the Crème Fraiche episode, a pleasant way to wrap up the season --the shake-weight stuff really worked in well.
