This thread is for items you like that you've attained. It can be anything you really like collecting. Just take a picture and put it up here. You can add more as you choose. Give some description of it to educate others, as I'm certain we'll find some weird stuff or really familiar things.

Mettlach german stein. I collect german steins. Mettlach is the most sought after of all steins, other then Faience pieces, Mettlach and Hauber and Reuther are really collectible brands. I only own two, and both have damage issues.. Mettlach was a German factory that existed and no longer exists. Each stein is rare, and some are rare runs and are unique. I like collecting random steins, and I may post my others up also.

This is a dope thread idea and interested to see what some people come up with. I'll see what I can bring to the table.

I'll also have a bunch of interesting random stuff to post here when I get time to take/up pics.

this is my college degree. Note how they were too lazy to put what I actually got a degree in.
By itself a bachelors in Psychology is pretty useless. Hence I'm in grad school.
I have long fingers.

Just since I always meant to show this to LWK and because I can't think of anything else to show besides for some beer that I'm sure no one cares about.

Ok here is something. A copy of Common Sense by Thomas Paine in full first edition reprint.

Love that shit.

Goes well with my facsimile copy of the Dunlap Broadside of the Declaration of Independence.

I also hope to put a facsimile copy of the first edition printing of all the Federalist Papers in the mix. But that one is 200 bucks.

1999 Liefman's Goudenband. Fantastic beer that is still holding up. Still have 5 left.

no longer own any of it save the bullet proof vest, but this photo
has become the template "flash source" for my Family Crest.

Bubblegum Crisis OST? Nice!

Yep. It's hard to believe I bought all those CDs in the early 90s now. Still as new as they day I bought them from Nikaku Animart and Laser Perceptions.

I guess the only other thing I'm still stoked about is having had the foresight to snag this up...

at the comic book/Japanimation store (then called Excalibur Comics, now Dragon's Lair) in 2000 the minute I saw two copies behind the glass counter, just having that odd feeling it be out of print before long. Up until then I had clamored for this OST having only seen a single pic of the original JPN release in '92 in one of the EGM issues in a side bar. Though that picture had a picture of the Tokyo skyline at night with the words "Bare Knuckle II" in red font.

not much else to show, unless ppl want to start seeing sex molds and future bang doll purchases (non inflatable) :tickled:

I got this from my ex-girlfriend in college. Her sister worked at Columbia House back in 2001-2005 and in the late half of 2002 they were releasing Steal This Album and as part of the promo, a bunch of these lithos were printed up and then signed by the band and she was able to procure me one. Still one awesome gift.

I wish I could share something but I don't have anything that anyone here would care about.

Its crazy seeing turbografx. I remember getting my TG16 on a whim as a kid totally out of the blue. Who knew that many Hucards would be crazy expensive now. Its almost as cool as my memory of prank calling gameland and asking for the game 'pentagram stars'. I hated that it was such a killer local hook up, but they would photocopy the manuals, and half the time you wouldnt get boxes. Funny enough, gameland was like the first place I bought a neo-geo game. Which was a loose fatal fury special Neo-CD. Funny enough, it was one of my favorite purchases in history, up until a few years back where I bought a complete version from Big Bear on the cheap in perfect condition. Good times.

dumb family traditions, but this cursed bloodline ends with me

Matthew is my "real" middle name. George is a name everyone in my family has somewhere, so I got it too.

My grandfather's brother's initials are AER, but he died when my grandpa was young. So my grandpa named his son after him, and in turn that son gave me a first and middle name which resulted in AER as well.

Still available through BEST Electronics as far as I know. I bought them in 2005. I can't play
with the crappy American pads. Euro pads or nothing.

Hope that helps. Good to see another 7800 fan.

:smirk:
I hope you're right. I looked for those for some time. Thank you so much.

it could have been worse. I was the 15th member of the family to have "George" in my name somewhere. My dad wanted to honor that by legally making my name Alexander Mathew George George George George George George George George George George George George George George George Gomory. It did not happen, but would have been funny none the less

Let me know how it turns out if you don't mind. I'm crossing my fingers they still have some up for sale. The guy seemed to have a backlog of them in late '05. Hope you can procure some.

We're a dysfunctional family here, and thus I help out in anyway I can.
