chrono trigger i remember very well. i haven't played it in a very long time, but it holds very strong nostalgic value for me. it was one of those games that Nintendo Power hyped up and it made my head spin as a young kid. it had really cool moments of tragedy and triumph. Mr. just-along-for the-ride-Crono, always seemed like he was totally indifferent to the whole thing, i guess mainly because he was the silent one. i remember cool things and moments like finding out Magus could be a playable party member but only in exchange of keeping Frog/Glenn as his amphibian type. so you kind of felt bad for Frog but having Magus in your party felt awesome.
well, just all around it was a great game. music was so fantastic and really had you humming the tunes away from the game.
i bought it at a time when a game like CT was about $70 brand new, but after paying almost $80 for FFIII in october of '94, it seemed cheap (or at least reasonable). but when you bought a game like those, you really got your money's worth. so much stuff to find, new game+, all the endings, rainbow weapons, etc.
i hope they dont make a sequel to be honest. its ok if they might use the a characters likeness or have a story that recalls the tales of the original CT crew, but that's about all i'd like to see. Chrono Cross was ok, but to me not on the level of CT.
