Yeah but to be fair, I don't think it was a Hilde player that ended up winning was it? So shes not unbeatable.

Yeah she's definitely not unbeatable, but did you see how many people switched their characters to Hilde after that one guy started to use her? Then the boos started to roll in. It turned into a Hilde fest then it all went to shit.

It's hard to keep playing VF when everyone around you loses interest. I love the game, still have a copy...but you can't just play Quest mode all the time.

If I lived in Japan, I would have fully become a VF convert, and probably played nothing but.

I tried getting into VF but it could never hold my interest. I brought VF4: Evolution when it was released to give the series a shot. I decided to use Goh as my main and hit up training. I grew bored with it after a few weeks. I grew to dislike how bland the characters and the stages were. The one character career was very unappealing to me and none of my friends liked the series. I eventually traded it for Guilty Gear.

I tried to get back in with VF5 but it still couldn't get into it. Guess me and VF ain't meant to be.

You guys are all right. It's hard to get into a series when no one around you wants to play. I was lucky cuz my crew of friends will play anything that's a fighting game. But if I were you guys I'd definitely give the latest one a try. I'm sure you'll like this one much more than the last.

I'm guilty of this. I don't play Virtua Fighter at all, but I just go by others saying it's deep/balanced/etc.

We all are guilty of it at some point. Before I picked up VF again I would do this too. Of course I went balls deep into the VF series and figured out just why it is such an awesome game series.

I just get sick of when people talk about 3d fighting games and the VF vs Tk vs SC vs DOA debate comes up then they show how much they don't know when they talk about how VF and SC are such awesome games and how they are superior to Tekken. I'm sorry but if you play VF for more than a moment SC doesn't even register on the map. VF and SC are worlds apart and the only thing they have in common is a block button. Both Tekken and DOA are much closer to VF than SC will ever be.

Now I take it this is what they meant by when they said Namco/Bandai was working on Tekken 7 right? I remember reading the rumors online, so if that's so this is pretty much a given to come to arcades, I'll defiantly check it out when CTF or 8otB gets it.

I'll have to pick up T6 now, glad it's cheaper. Played it in the arcades a couple of times and liked it. I'll admit I got T5 just so I could play an arcade perfect port of T3 and Starblade. Tag was alright, didn't really get into it. The people that played it at the arcades I visited were very good so I didn't get that much playtime on it. I'm glad I pretty much use Bryan, because he's almost guaranteed to be the game. When it comes to secondary characters, I really don't have one, maybe that one guy they added in 5, but I usually stick to Bryan.

What would you know about VF in the first place? You are just saying VF is good cuz it's trendy to talk about it but not actually play it. Last week somebody brought this up at VFDC. Everyone wants talks about it but they never be about it.

Did you watch the Evo Live stream of Soul Calibur last year? People were actually booing. Coincidentially, Soul Calibur wasn't on the game roster for Evo this year but Melty Blood was LOL. WTF is Melty Blood? SBO isn't having Soul Calibur either.

Soul Calibur is nothing but a game that 2d fanboys play to say that they play 3d fighting games. It's nothing but training wheels for real 3d fighters.

Just say that you know I'm right.

I know enough to know that VF is a far more satisfying experience than Tekken. I've only play VF2, 4 and 5 for any meaningful period of time.

I've spent most of my VF5 time on PS3 using the awesome training mode as I have no one to play it against.

Tekken just never cut it. It was always a boring game to me.

I never professed to be a VF or Tekken expert...I just know what I like and don't like. And Tekken is it.

SC still rules over tekken.

Judging by the last combo the variation in combo's is going to be limitless.

Leo:down:+1+2,2, d+2 B![TAG], KazuyaEWGF(:forw:,n,:downf::2)[TAG], Leo:forw:,:forw:+4,3[TAG], KazuyaTGF(:forw:,n,:downf:+1)

Leo's :forw:,:forw:+4,3 is not a juggle starter but he is able to tag out regardless. Hope this is a feature that sticks.

Edit: Taking a closer look at that combo I think Kazuya's last hit may be a DTGF(:forw:,:forw:,n,:forw:,n,:downf:+1)

You know, I've only ever play TTT once.

Tekken 3 was the better late 90s Namco fighter.

There we go.

As far as SC goes, it's a great game in a lot of ways, it's engaging and easy to get in to, but everyone on these forums has to argue everything on the technical merits of it's combat and SC has one of the lowest entry points of any fighter.

Soul Calibur is what people who can't hack it in Tekken and Virtua Fighter play.

I don't think I've ever beat anyone in SC IV online and rarely ever beat anyone in DR or T6 online. Tried VF, got tired of the game fast. Felt like I need a Phd just to do simple things in VF.

The only thing I like about SC IV is that I could jump out the ring when an enevitable ass kicking was coming.

Crap Tekken player I may be, but I enjoy the series more than SC. Soul Edge on the other hand was fun. Maybe I'm just bitter over the lack of Hwang.

This 100%. VF is bland and boring. Tekken is fun and exciting.

I'm excited. I loved the first Tag so I hope this one is at least just as good.

I'm not a huge Tekken fan, but 6 is good and the first Tekken Tag Tourney was one of my favorite fighters ever, it was just fucking nuts. I'm definately looking forward to this, but now I need to learn how to use someone besides Paul Phoenix.

Hopefully the home version has Tekken Bowl Tournament 2.

I'm a fighting game fan, but I have never understood Tekken. I had a namco machine with TTT in it for the longest time. I really tried to get into it, but I figure if i'm going to play a fighting game, it's not going to be tekken.

However, I can say that TTT2 looks amazing. I am definitely willing to give the new game a shot.

VF > all tekken's combined (even in an alternate universe where a 'good' tekken game may exist.

Soul Calibur is a fun game - Tekken is horseshit for spazzes to play.

Dude, just stop. You've buried yourself deep enough with your poorly informed opinion.

Just watched the video. That looks pretty damn cool. My question, for those that know Tekken best of all is, WHAT TOOK SO FUCKING LONG?!

Yes, yes we get it.

Is there a more new-fag thing than editing someone's post and quoting it? Nice try. I'm glad you take Tekken seriously enough for it to ruffle your feathers when someone dissagrees with you..

Yeah, but you're the same guy that said he didn't like MOTW because the sprites were too small, so I don't know what your opinion on this matter of "hardcoreness" is worth.

What in the name of fuck are you talking about? Show me where I said that, because I honest to god don't remember. Just two seconds ago you had your underwear in a bunch about putting words in peoples' mouths, and then you pull that? Look up what I said about MOTW on this site., and a promise you you'll see me praising that game.

Three installments in the main series...? First TTT came after Tekken 3. This one is coming after Tekken 6. I can see this developing into a pattern.

Today we have learned that if you pull the "VF trump card", anything you say is valid. As long as you play(or say you play) VF alongside a shitty game, it makes whatever game you dislike a shitty game and no one can contest it.

So if you love Mortal Kombat and you hate Street Fighter, all you gotta do is say "OMG VF and MK for Life SF sucks", then that means Street Fighter actually sucks and Mortal Kombat is an awesome game.
