It's the layout that's the giveaway.
Um, its the same layout and the original clearly covers more than just the colors of their heads.

I was referring to the layout of the characters which refers to the character select screen specifically. If they were in a different order then it wouldn't.

I wouldn't have figured out unless I had a category like "video games". I gave up after about 15 seconds, realizing that I just don't care and want to know the answer.

I was that way too (military rank or some Atari 2600 game), then I scrolled down, saw an SF2 comment and immediately caught who each set of colors represented.
