Guess not. We're over the whole PS3 vs XBox thing, though. We're now talking about extra frames in Street Fighter 4. Get with the times... sheesh.

I don't get this, you say you haven't read the thread but go ahead and insult people for saying why they still think paying for Live is worth it after there have been several good reasons why mentioned in the thread? Which you would have seen if you read it instead of dismissing it as fanboyism.

Ah, guess I shouldn't have posted. Never mind, then. I concede the point and rescind my comments.

LOL ruined? If it was that big of a difference, the ps3 would not even be used for tourneys. The difference is negligible even if it is there. Justin, gamerbee and ricky ortiz don't seem to have any problems with the 1 frame links and daigo still does his trademark solar plexus punch into his down fierce flawlessly at evo where the ps3 is used. Many other tourney players don't seem to have issues with it either. Quit trying to make a big deal out of it just because YOU can't adapt. I know you like whining about everything under the sun, but c'mon now....:tickled:

So a $10 price increase for Jane & Joe Sixpack, and a $10 price drop for the rest of us? Doesn't seem so bad now.

Edit : But seriously though, everyone (including all of the articles about this) seem to be ignoring the real reason behind this price hike.

I never really understood why people would need multiple IDs, you can play pretty much any splitscreen game online with a guest ID, right? When my former roommate had a 360 we both just used my ID and xbox if we were going online.

I can't stand splitscreen co-op, personally. I fucking hate it with a passion.

I want my game to take up my whole display. I feel claustrophobic when I only have half the screen to survey my surroundings in a game.

I like playing locally with others, but I have fighting games and beat 'em ups for that.

This plan is a godsend for dorm gaming and houses where people want their own separate achievements and such.

So what are the rules for recovering a family tags on other systems? If I had three other people in need of a Gold account I'd just get the family plan on one system and then recover the other three on separate systems.

Anyone notice they changed the purchasing options for Live points?

I was looking to try Dead Rising: Case 0 and saw they changed the pricing points around.

About time I can actually buy just 400 points if I wanted to buy a 400 point game (and I did with Case 0.)

It should have been this way from the start, but I guess it's nice that it's at least finally an option.

The family plan sounds pretty damned cool. Be interesting to see how it actually works.

I bought 400pts to purchase Scott Pilgrim last week, and for the life of me I couldn't remember if I could buy 400 before or not.

Point increments were different if you were buying cards or online. You could buy 800 online, but I think the smallest xbl point card was 1000. You could never buy 400 before.

You used to be able to get 800 point cards in addition to the 1600 and 4000 point cards. But they did away with 800 point cards for some reason.
