I like how Catwoman and Two-Face have a more "modern DC" look rather than their classic looks. Two-Face almost looks like he did in The Dark Knight. I don't care for Harley Quinn's new look, but maybe it will grow on me.

Overall, I absolutely loved and played the crap out of Arkham Asylum. I can't wait to play Arkham City.

Looks outstanding. I am really excited about this.

I'm gonna fire up and play through the first one again over the weekend.

Arkham Asylum exceeded all expectations. I expect the second one to be a ton of fun, at the very least.

Other than being set in Gotham City how will this one be different from the first? Have they given any details on it at all or is this the first little bit of info coming out on it?

I loved the first game more than I thought was possible.

Such a great experience, rich fan service.

Freeflow combat annihilation.

I like all the new looks, including Harley. She's more real-world crazy person and less tee-hee cute comic book-y.

I loved the first game. I'm really looking forward to this.

Same, my only real gripe about the first one was the same thing the developers disliked. Spending over half the game in detective mode, just because I felt handicapped without it.

The new game looks fantastic though. I really don't see how they could go wrong with it.

I didn't like that part either, but I didn't mind it. The problem was that it took away from the lush detail, and there's probably a lot that was missed. Would be interesting if you can play the next one without detective mode completely as a silver trophy/achievment.

Same for me as it was one of the best games I've played in a long time, even though I spent half the game looking at neon electric blue and red skeletons. I'm most certainly down for B:AC.

I get a laugh out of people who are saying Catwoman looks too slutty. Have they ever even heard of the character before this game was announced?

Still haven't played the first one because I'm not sure which version to get.

Didn't it get re-released with some type of 3D effects added in? Should I get that or the Limited Edition? (they still have a few around here)

Unless you really want the batarang that comes with the CE, I'd probably just go with the Game of the Year Edition (the one with 3-D effects). Unless the CE is actually cheaper.

From what I hear though, the 3-D effects aren't really that great.

Get the Game of the Year edition. While the 3D effects ain't great it packaged with all the DLC that was released for the game.

Truly baffling.

Interesting side note: Adam Hughes, whose art probably defines the character as much as any artist over the last 5-8 years, says he LOVES the rendition of her for Arkham City.

I'll take his endorsement of the character as far as the visuals for this game go.

And I think she looks great in this game, too.

I also thoroughly enjoyed the first game. I will be onboard for the second. October of 2011 is a long way off, however, 2011 is shaping up to be an awesome year.

Did they overhaul the graphics for this? AA was a looker, but this just looks even more slick than the first. Those screenshots floating around are just ridiculous looking.

Is it just me or does the normal looking side of Two-Face look a little bit like Ronald Reagan?

I think she looks better in the game than in the current comics. For some reason, the costume works for me in this medium, whereas I can't stand it in the comics. I like Darwyn Cooke, but I thought his Catwoman redesign was terrible. Maybe the worst thing they'd done to the character since Miller made her a former hooker.

Not much of a comics reader but I feel so sorry for Frank Miller.

Year One is a great story. Maybe one of the greatest Batman stories ever (for whatever that's worth). And Catwoman being a hooker worked extremely well within that story. The problem was that after Year One was over and Batman's world returned to creators who didn't happen to be Frank Miller, it turned out to be a disastrous move for the character.

Actually, there are a few things in Dark Knight Returns and Year One that worked great for Miller when they only represented Miller's personal interpretation of the characters, that ended up really hurting the characters when the creators who followed Miller tried to incorporate the ideas into their own work.

But back to the hooker thing, while it seemed daring at the time back in the mid-1980s, the decades since have shown that this wasn't a Catwoman-only thing. Miller seems to see all women as prostitutes. Nearly every female character he has written or created since then has either been a victim or a prostitute, and often both. Soon after the Catwoman thing, he went back to Marvel and turned Stan Lee's sweet little Karen Page character into an actual crack whore, sucking dicks and starring in porn. Then of course came all the Sin City comics, where the bad women were all murderous, back-stabbing high society bitches and the "good" women were all murderous prostitutes selling themselves in Old Town. Dude has issues.
