Three factors here
1- Size & weight
2- design & layout
3- games

The original DS may have been larger & heavier than the lite, but the lite was worse due to the design being too small and thin causing strain while holding.

And the gamegear might have been much larger than the PSP, but with all those RPGs, spending hours on great games would try your ligs.

So which HH caused you the worst pain?

the ds lite isn't that bad. you just have to know how to hold it.

i own quite a few different handheld systems but i can't really complain about any of them.

Game & Watch. Being able to see the liquid crystal while avoiding the glare means you have to hold it in odd angles sometimes.

GBA SP!
Damn thing. I absolutely love it and still play it, but its so cramped that long sessions almost feel like its given me an RSI.

Original GBA.
The constant tilting to find enough light to see the screen was so frustrating.
But the shape was more comfortable for my hands than the SP.

I go with the original GBA as well, but for different reasons. The dpad and buttons were too small, and since it only had two face buttons a lot of action games relied heavily on the L and R buttons. Megaman Zero = PAIN!

These for the reasons listed but I'd say all the Gameboys until the DS lite.

Used a Super Gameboy and was really happy when the Gameboy Player for the 'Cube came out.

With my tiny hands that most handhelds require for a comfy grip I've never had any issues. I don't get the DsiL who would that appeal too? Definitely not my sister.

That's because there aren't any recent handhelds that would compel people to play continuously without stopping until the battery is completely drained.

Nah, F that. No handheld ever hurt my wrists either.

How long do you guys play these handhelds for? 15, 20 hours a day?

What messes with me is my neck, not my wrists. Thats why I hate playing handhelds. Rather play my vg's on the big screen.

I was about to say..the worst challenge from a handheld system is neck pain or possibly eye strain if you're playing in a dimly lit room for a long time period.

Wrist pain from a handheld?

Okay, new list: Eeveryone in this thread is a weak sister except me, INfintido, gutsman004, RAZO, and OMFG. Although RAZO is borderline, bitching about his neck there. Suck it up, man.

Hmm...now that you mention it. Perhaps I am a weak sister and should try to build up my wrist with some exercise like the more manly members here...such as jerking off? XD

Man if handhelds are hurting your wrist while playing, you're not getting a healthy dose of masturbation in. :tickled:

Based on the topic requirements, no handheld hurt my hands or wrist in that fashion.

But the Fatty DS has hurt my hands in another way. The crappy sharpness of the sides of the plastic dug into the palm of my hand too much when doing long gaming sessions. :blow_top:
