I don't buy anything from vending machines so I wouldn't know. People needs to keep a Nalgene bottle full of water on hand at all times.

Outside of water, the only beverages I've had in the last three months have been: 3 coffees, a dozen hot green teas, one Pepsi can. I don't even miss them, water's the perfect drink.

Water is the perfect drink when heated and combined with coffee grounds.

Just get those yogurt drinks, which is somehow marketed as a "healthy choice" even though the sugar content is much higher than Coke or Pepsi.

What freedom's exactly is the city of SF denying it's people? Do you seriously believe limiting the number of vending machines selling soda is somehow infringing upon peoples rights or are you trying to be sarcastic?

To piggyback on your point, if someone does not smoke they have a right to tell others they cant smoke in their house... no one said they cant smoke period, just that they have to walk their ass outside to do it.

They are denying their citizens the freedom of choice. An American citizen is granted life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. What if smoking inside the house that they bought working hard pursues their happiness? This is mostly a principal issue here,it is stating that if the city of SF can ban soda, where will it stop? The article that I posted in this topic is a fine example of liberals going out of control. See, part of being an American and having freedom is the prospect of failure, sure, you drink too much soda, you might get fat or get diabetes, but, maybe that one can of soda or one cig that pete the mechanic drinks or smokes once a day gives him the drive and motivation he needs to fix more cars. This bullshit is unamerican. If you take away freedom, you take away ambition....and this all boils down to...You can't legislate human behavior.

@Mrandersonjr: Well, all those smokers and food junkies have taken away MY freedom of choice. I'd like to choose not to pay for their medical bills, etc, but that is not a privilege this country will let me keep. As NeoSneth said before you posted. . . you should have got that message sooner. You need a good lesson about "freedom" of choice.
This is America, love it or leave it. If you can't stand paying for citizens freedom of choice, gtfo.

You have to be the dumbest person I've seen post today. And that is saying something. No one is stopping anyone from drinking soda in San Francisco, you stupid, stupid motherfucker. No one is denying anyone in San Francisco the "freedom to choose" soda. YOU CAN STILL DRINK IT ANYWHERE YOU WANT.

And fucking put a space after commas, you ignorant baboon. What, did you drop out of school at age 5?

Anywhere you say, OH WAIT! They banned the sales of soda in San Fransisco. So what the fuck, if I want a soda I have to get my ass over to some other town and get a soda. Pretty inconvenient huh? All I am saying is, look at the goddamn principal of the issue. This is America, not motherfucking pleasentville. Get back in your goddamn prius you tool.

IF the people are free to buy soda in San Fransisco....Then why do you make it so difficult for them to do so? The context of principal isn't the guy that banged your mom to get you enrolled in school. It's the main issue at hand. This soda ban can lead to a slippery slope, what if you tools ban candybars and that won't stop you,you can ban other undesirable things as well. Where does it fucking stop?

That's PRINCIPLE, you dummy.

IF the people are free to buy soda in San Fransisco....Then why does the first fucking sentence of the article read otherwise?

Yeah, that's right, you better edit that shit out of your post. You are finally starting to realize where you went wrong.

"This is not about the soda police or a crackdown on soda," Winnicker said to the Chronicle. "People absolutely remain free to choose to drink unhealthy sugary sodas anywhere they want."

Do you know what 'city property' means? Here's a hint: It doesn't mean the whole city, __________. I'm running out of ways to describe how stupid you are, so I'm leaving that one blank like Mad Libs to fill in later.

Here's your lesson of the week everybody! If someone disagrees with what you believe in, berate that other person every chance you get. So, you can stroke your ego.

SoutherntownKid: I hope you really look back, and try to remember what freedom was like before the liberals got into your head.

And it's not even ALL vending machines. It's only vending machines on city property. Any private business with a soda vending machine can keep right on selling soda like normal.

You have no right to discuss freedom when you can't even read, much less comprehend the subject. Fuck, you barely qualify as a citizen. The world scares you because you can't understand anything going on around you, so you blame everything on "the liberals". If you fucking took advantage of the public education that was offered to you for free, you wouldn't be in this mess now. What were you doing? School was fucking free all the way through the end of high school!

Yet another personal attack:oh_no:. So,let me hear your definition of freedom.

EDIT:Not Webster's definition either, your own personal belief on what freedom is.

I'm totally not seeing the big deal here.

Fuck, I wish I had the willpower to make healthier lifestyle choices! I wish my company would stop carrying unhealthy food for me to buy on my breaks/lunches.

You didn't even understand the simple news article that you yourself quoted to kick off this thread. I don't know how many times you read it and you still managed not to get what it was actually saying.

When people tried to explain your own quoted article to you, you didn't understand that, either.

So I don't have high hopes you'd be able to understand anything else I'd try to tell you. But this is not a freedom issue. "Freedom" is just a word you brought into the discussion to complain about stuff that frightened you because you don't understand it. You can still buy soda in San Fransisco. You can still drink soda in San Fransisco.

But where can't you buy soda in San Fransisco? Vending Machines. What's the article about? A soda ban in Vending Machines in San Fransisco. I think you should put forward your definition anyways, I'll try to decipher it with my speak-n-spell.

his has been explained to you multiple times, I just explained it to you again, and you probably still don't understand.

You should worry less about the definition of freedom and more about the definition of city property. You keep dancing around that.
