The best PSP game I've ever played is Crush. Innovative, stylistic puzzle/platformer hybrid. Hilarious story, awesome music, good graphics (both 2D and 3D), and an incredible gameplay mechanic.

Probably my second favorite game of this entire console generation.

I loved that game so much, I wrote Zoe Mode a letter. You really feel smart after figuring out some of those puzzles.

Has anyone played the Hatsune Miku game?

I know FF Tactics has been mentioned, but to put a bit of emphasis on it, I actually sold my original I liked the PSP version so much better.

My nephew got it for his PSP and it does look better. He was asking me a bunch of questions about it and wanting some hints. He's never played it before so he didn't know about the hidden characters and dungeons and other goodies.

I import heavily on the PSP, got a lot more Japanese games than English releases.

A good number of them are arcade compilations from SNK, Capcom, Namco, and Konami.

For Japanese RPGs, my faves are Tales of Destiny 2 (not Eternia), Sangokushi V (the only Koei 3 Kingdoms simulation in the series not to have an English release for some reason), and the Tengai Makyou series (characters in Kabuki Klash are based on).

The English titles I have are mostly updates on Playstation games.

That reminds me there is some good shooter love on the PSP, we got Gradius Collection here, but Japan also got Twinbee, Parodius, and Salamander Collections. A few other shooters too that I can't remember right now.

Oh, and you should dig Jeanne D'Arc, it was a fantastic game.

This is going to sound like a really weird suggestion (especially if you aren't some anime-head) but if you ever liked Sega AM-3's Virtual On back in the day, check out Gundam vs. Gundam, published by Bandai-Namco but developed by Capcom. It's actually a pretty great game and I believe is now on Japan's Greatest Hits (or whatever they call it there) so it can be found for about $20-$30.

How does a PSP Go have 'limited storage'?

The 16GB of system storage is all used up on mine, although I still have 11GB available on my memory stick.

With some of the better PSP games averaging over 1GB or more in size, 16GB of space goes quick.

So what titles are really worth it on this system.

PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe, Ridge Racer and DJ Max Fever have been my favorites as of late. Sadly, I'm still waiting for Final Fantasy Tactics:WotL, Lumines, Final Fantasy: CC and Space Invaders Extreme to be released on digital download. Daxter, God of War: CoO, Jeanne d'Arc seem great too, but I've only spent a few hours with them so far. The compilations are nice too, but they're either fragmented (Capcom Classics Remix and Reloaded? They could've fit both on one UMD) or lesser versions (Sega Genesis Collection is nice, but the Streets of Rage series is absent. Sonic UGC is not announced or even planned it seems.).

Sure, but you can expand with a memory stick if you want. As you have.

I haven't really looked at the Go at all yet. Are you saying that in addition to buying non-physical media Go games which, by the way, are full price, you also have to buy memory sticks to store them because the Go only has 16GB internal storage?

That sounds kind of poorly thought out.

Well I decided to get the Peace Walker Bundle. I'll pick it up this week. I have a coupon at Best Buy and I have like $80 in change saved up that I had no idea what to spend on. This seems like as good a waste of money on a material possession as any other item I'd be inclined to buy.

I'll stick with normal psp, then.

That has been the census with original PSP owners. Upgrading (and I use the term loosely) from the original PSP to a PSP Go is less worthwhile than upgrading from a DS Lite to a DSi. But I was eager to adopt the PSP Go because I didn't like the ergonomics of the original PSP. Mushy d-pad and face buttons, umd media, launch-day burnt pixels, etc.

I have no qualms about spending $15-$20 for non-physical media if the game is high-quality. The same goes for "average" games in the $6-$10 range. But I refuse to spend $40 on new releases for digital download. I'm an eager adopter of DD, but not that eager.

I do agree that the internal storage for the PSP go is too small. The PSP Go should've shipped with 32GB of internal storage, minimum. Perhaps Sony is reserving that size of internal storage as a bulletpoint for PSP2? Anyway yes, I purchased the 16GB memory stick right away because I used all of the PSP Go's internal memory almost immediately.

Is there some way to play PSP game on your television? I remember someone mentioning something about that months ago, but wasn't interested enough in one to care back then.

I'd give it a go if for no other reason than to support the Ys series stateside.

Purchase an A/V-out cable for your PSP.

But if you're asking if you can play PSP games via your PS3? No.

Well, some PSP miniS, yes. Retail PSP games, no.

Meh, it could be nice. Are there other PC Engine games other than Splatterhouse worth playing? The Neo-Geo support could be great...if it comes with the release of Neo-Geo's best titles. I'm not going to bother if it's Aggressors of Dark Kombat or other garbage titles.

I never knew that they had that. I thought you were stuck with the 16 G of internal memory.

PSP Go is a terrible idea. I'd rather have physical discs to play 20 years down the road and be able to sell them if I don't like the game or get sick of it. When the PSP store is down or no longer supported, you're screwed. And DL games aren't any cheaper than disc games.

You need component cables and a TV with component inputs to play a game on the TV. Composite cables only let you watch movies.

I hate the PSP GO except for the analog nub, which is think is slightly better than that of the PSP.

Correction: You need an HDTV. It won't play on an SDTV with component. (It didn't for me)

FYI: The PSP Peace Walker Bundle does not come with a case for Peace Walker. Yes, you read that right. You get a tiny cardboard box the exact size of a UMD with the peace walker logo printed on it. What a joke. Strangely you do get the instruction manual. I think this decision has to do with how they packaged everything inside the box.

I picked up the Castlevania collection too (the one with rondo of blood)
