The irony is that if they actually did make Virtua Fighter play like a traditional 2-d fighter it would be a more fun game than how Virtua Fighter actually plays.

And..? It would still be more fun as a 2-d fighter imo than how it actually plays.

Nesagawa: That's why I said if it played like a TRADITIONAL 2-d fighter like the way it was in that trailer.

Define what exactly that means, because it's a very vague statement.
Like Street Fighter? OK, then it would be SF with really dull character designs. Who wants that? VF is fine the way it is.

You mean if it played like Street Fighter. Go play Street Fighter 4 if you want that.

This is like complaining that a racing sim like Gran Turismo doesn't play like Ridge Racer.

You still don't get my point which is VF is such a borefest gameplay-wise that even if they just made it have SF gameplay it would still be a big improvement.

Plus, I wouldn't mind getting another 2-d fighting series. At least I might actually play that.

No it isn't. I was merely saying that if it did play more like street fighter it would be a lot more fun than how it plays now. What, I can't make an observation?

Chess is more boring than Checkers, but I sure do like those little horsey figures. If only Chess played more like Checkers.
