If you're a big Japanese stick/cab person, kindly leave... do me and yourself a favor. This is a game that I love that I've turned into an American cab dream. Here's my personally home made Guilty Gear Slash home US cab:

PS: ignore how shitty the room looks. I took the picture the second I got this all together, and shit was everywhere.

Spike, that looks sweet! :drool_2: Your workmanship is really something to admire - That side art looks unbelievable. Was that formerly your EAR cab?

A thing of beauty, is nice to see the proper button layout on a woody.

What type of custom panel did you make here? I mean that's an HS-5 Dymano if I'm correct but I see it doesn't have the usual cut corner CP, share the process man, you know that's always the best part about restoration/conversions.

I've always been a Happ fan, however IMO supers are better than comps.

If someone can't appreciate the effort, love and dedication to do that, screw them.

Incredible job!

First of all, yes, this was my EAR cab (which I sold the hardware, because I needed to make room for my new Naomi set up). Secondly, this is a conversion or an unknown cab, Electricgrave. I'm not 100% sure of what kind of cab this was or is supposed to be. I will say that I made that control panel 100% by myself. Got the wood, drilled the holes (which I trace copied the button layout from a blast city Guilty Gear panel, lol), but on the front metal so I wouldn't hurt the cpo. Also, all the artwork was run at an unusually high pixel per inch in Photoshop, and it looks professional. If you've ever done your own stuff, sometimes you may see some slight pixelation, or whatever... but not on any of this stuff. It's all super nice. With that said ARCADE OVERLAYS .com is where I went. These guys there are incredible. Super nice to deal with and they do amazing work.

You should have seen this cab before I did anything to it at all. It was a fucking turd. The monitor was sort of shot, the old control panel was just a dog. Now, the monitor is an almost too nice 27 inch. I say "almost too nice" because when I go from this to one of my other cabs, they just don't look as good... which is saying something, because I'm very anal with all my monitors.

Anyhow, thanks for looking.

That is simply stunning.

Makes me want to try my hand at it but I know I couldn't attain that level of craftsmanship..

Good job :)

Yeah, you can really tell - the higher resolution makes a big difference when you are doing full side art.

Is that a Wells D9800 monitor? Do you prefer the look of the flat tubes over the curved?

No, it's a wells 9400. I haven't had a 9800... I will say I do prefer flat tubes over the curved ones, for sure. While we're on the subject, I love the 9400s, but I HATE the 9200s. Those things were shitty. My tekken 5 cab had one of those, and the brightness when to shit in short order.

Yeah, I like the 9400 series as well. I bought one new from Betson for my 2-slot. It looks freakin sweet!:buttrock:

Dude that is sick. Cannot stress how envious I am of your work. Wish I had the time/space to work on something like that.
Beautiful.

Totally solid dude. Two thumbs up! How hard was it to get the shades of black to match for the sideart?

Best looking woody I've seen. Button layout seems a little weird; but if that's how they were originally, I would do the same.
