Thanks for sharing this. At the last New York Comic Con they didn't have anything to show for Season 4, so it's real nice to have a small taste of what's in store. Doc said that 21 is going to be really screwed up after the last season's cliffhanger so I can't wait to see more of him and his LARP group.

Dammit I need to watch the last 4 or 5 of Season 3.

I just rewatched Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD a few weeks ago.

Dude, season 3 is awesome.

Indeed it is. I had a friend who didn't like the first season that much but I told him to stick with it and he loved the third season more then the second one. Doc and Jackson keep getting better, season after season. So I hope the fourth season will continue to be just as funny.

Venture Bros. is probably the greatest original show [AS] has ever had. I really need to pick up some of the season sets.

GO TEAM VENTURE!

Good news. The way season 3 ended I wondered if it would come back at all.

I'm pissed off their not doing the Friday Night Fix on Adult Swim's website, so I made sure to tape it. I was half watching it because I was busy with other things but I plan on watching it again tomorrow night.

I forgot that it was the start of season four however I've been recording Venture Bros. lately on my DVR (along with Titan Maximum). Pure gold as always. This is going to be a very intense season :)

Not sure I cared for the disjointed stories and the odd comic book overlays through out the episode, but it did serve to condense a lot of story into a very short amount of time and get us to the "1 year later" time period without wasting a lot of time on prologue.

For those of you who forgot and missed it the season opener is being repeated every night this week.

I didn't quite get the 'odd comic book overlay' thing until the comic book-to-clone #24 scene came up and then saw the book was Marvel Comics #1. It was rushed but agreed...fast-paced without doing the whole prologue let-down.

Yeah, it was confusing 3/4ths of the way through until you see that little 15 seconds of dialogue. Still kind of an odd joke.

******SPOILERS*********

Still though, I love what the did with Sgt. Hatred. He was one of the best new characters they brought to the foreground in season 3. Having him return to being a good guy with all the same quircks was a good move that I think will pay off. Getting into the Golden Sphynx vs. O.S.I. conflict and backstory should be fun to see unravel over the course of the season, especially with Brock and Hunter having defected to the Sphynx.

One odd plot point, why couldn't Orpheus bring 24 back to life? Was he just blowing 21 off? That scene didn't make much sense to me, Orpheus takes every opportunity to remind everyone about what he does and the power he wields, why the heck would he pretend to just be a "magician?" He said himself that he's brought back Reagan and Evel Knievel. Not sure they'll explain that later or not, but it was kind of a weird out of character moment.

Also, a kid clone of 24? Who know's if Venture is going to actually do it, but from the preview it may turn into a Lonewolf and Cub situation.

Enough speculation out of me. Eh.

Definitely a lackluster season opener, considering how magnificent the past three have been.

I don't know why but it just seemed depressing.

What I thought was out-of-character was for Molotov to shoot Brock. I know they've fought before on a hardcore level (Brisby episode), but not to kill. And then Brock's got those dark bags under his eyes. Dunno what's up with that.

Eh.

It's like a Bond girl, sure they fuck, but she'd slit his throat at the first opportunity. Plus she's said that nobody can kill him but her. It's kind of obvious that Brock would fuck up her assasin plans. She's already fucked him over severly in season 3, what's a gunshot on top of that?

Also, watching it again, no 24 clone. I realized that it was running in complete reverse order and not jumping around as much as I thought. The comic book thread makes a lot more sense on a second viewing.

Amazing episode on Sunday! So what do you guys think of the season so far, three episodes in?

Nice to see Hank and Dean have separate adventures with their own episodes.

Other than that, just kind of looking forward to how all this stuff ties into everything later.

Second episode was brilliant. Kevin Conroy was at the top of his game in that one.

Third episode...eh. I didn't like the idea of people somehow surviving for 30 years in that M.U.T.H.E.R. episode and I didn't like it in in this one. At least in M.U.T.H.E.R. they were in the sewers or whatever, how the hell can you not notice a guy living in the attic for 19/20 years?

Animation was bitchin' in those psychedelic scenes, though.
hahaah floyd hole

Three episodes in and this season is far and away the darkest, most depressing season yet.

I did like when Hank goes up to the attic and sees the Dean shrine and just says to himself "Its all about Dean isnt it." Made me giggle.
