Well to be honest I'd never heard of the show until I was lurking one night when you first made this thread, and I'm hooked. I don't post much here, but I drop in from time to time. Too busy with a new job, the stress of parenthood, linked up with an old crew of mine and have been spending time kickin' it with them (where I can), playing a lot of AV Famicom and Atari 5200, and being a fool on FaceBook + those Zynga apps [Special Forces, respectively].

That said, *Trailer Park Boys* has me in stitches. Really the only show I'm enjoying as of late every night on YouTube. Currently left off at Season 2 episode 3 about J-Roc opening his night club licensed. :lolz:

That's awesome man. :buttrock:

(Season 3 was my favourite, by the way.)

You guys got me watching this now. Got the first season from netflix. Funny so far, but I'm only on the 3rd episode.

Was this originally on the Canadian version of Showtime?

Yeah, it was on a channel called Showcase here. More or less the same thing, except it's basic cable.

Glad you're liking it man. Such a great show. :buttrock:

Got through the first disc (4th episode) and am liking it.
I like how Julian always has a drink in his hand.
:tickled::lol:

Do they ever talk about what got them in jail the first time?

The above ^ is to part 1 of 9 of the original 1998
Pilot Movie. It was all in Black & White and we get to see
how Julian and Ricky got put in prison (it's a riot!). Thing is
Ricky is actually the smart one in that earlier version and Julian
is a Cocaine addict who cannot think straight.

TPB is like the greatest show ever. :tickled:

This show jumped the shark when Bubbles got that doll.

Anyways, did you know that the actor who plays Mr Lahey is a gambling addict. There was a documentary about it on the CBC.

It's hardly a practical idea, but it'd be pretty awesome to sit around and watch some TPB with you some time, Merc. ;)

I think i'll join that party with you and Merc.

Hey I'm all for it one day in the future. Right now I'm on Quarantine @ home though, eating Tami-Flu tablets, Mucinex D and cannot go to work. Family can't be around me for at least 24 hours. Having the Flu sucks.

#1> Conky is annoying but at the same time I find the whole premise hilarious. I love when Julian loses it and pulls out a .45 and... :tickled: My real complaint was the whole Sebastian Bach/Swayze Train thing. I just didn't get into that at all. I thought it was a shitty way to end the series.

#2> Yeah I heard John Dunsworth is pretty messed up. Sad too, gambling can be a worst addiction that drinking or anything else. All I know is that his daughter (IMO) Sarah who played Sarah on the show gets me excited. Had I lived in Sunnyvale Trailer Park I'd have been all over that, ain't no way Jacob Collins would've got to that BBW trim. No sir.

I still need to buy the DVDs, just haven't gotten around to it. Still haven't seen the Christmas Special or "The Big Dirty" which strangely enough someone told me the film was released in the USA under that name minus the *Trailer Park Boys* banner? Has Countdown to Liquor Day come out at the Cinema over there yet?

Don't think it's out yet here either, though it will be soon (a couple weeks, I think).

I thought the Swayze train was a bit weak too, but more than that, I missed Cory and Trevor. That season had some really good parts, but I'd hoped for a better ending too. Still, it wasn't bad or anything. Just could have been better.

I've got all 7 seasons on dvd and i've ripped them and put them all on my ipod touch, i just need to rip the movies and put them on there as well, just haven't gotten around to it. Season 7 was a bummer, they really lost their touch the last season. Theres a few decent episodes in season 7 but nowhere as many as the previous 6 seasons. Season 3 was the best imo followed by seasons 5 and 6. The 4th season had the green bastard one which was pretty good and the one where ricky throws all the sat dishes off the roof after the sat company sent someone out to investigate, that part was hilarious. I'm waiting for the last movie to come out, and theres still 1 movie i'm missing, so i'll have to get on ebay or amazon and see if i can find it. Also there was a special episode released which is the end of the tv show series, its call "say goodnight to the bad guys", you can download it on torrent or p2p. I havent watched the whole episode, but what i have seen is pretty good. Reminds me more of season 6. Anyhow great show, i wish it were more popular here, i know its a must see for any stoner in canada. I used to hang out with some growers years back and they used to rave about it, then again it was still being filmed at the time.

Season 3 Episode 4 ("Who's The Microphone Assasin?") is the best one of all time imo. I watch it religiously. Heres a link to it.

"It could happen to you, cuz it happened to me!" J-Roc

:lolz:

Yeah that was a funny episode. My favorite scene in the entire series is in Season 1 in the last episode: Who The Hell Invited These Idiots To My Wedding? where the boys rob a grocery store for food for Ricky's wedding, and then Ricky walks inside drunk as fuck not knowing what's going on and a gun battle erupts... with Bubbles firing off an UZI like a man man (Fast Foward to 3:15)

My favourite episode is "If I can't smoke and swear, I'm fucked", with the gas stealing operation that Cory and Trevor get blamed for.

"Gut Cassidy and the Sundance Cheeseburger..." Makes me laugh every time. :lolz:

My favorite part is the episode where bubbles, ricky and his daughter goes into a convenince store to buy a pack a smokes and rickys daughter fires off his gun and the cashier thinks they are being robbed. Ricky tries calming the cashier down but can't so he decides as long as hes going to get in trouble for armed robbery, he might as well take some stuff. Then he explains to the camera crew his point of view of the situation and tries to justify it all. LOL just greatness.

How on Earth did I forget about that episode? Yeah I'd have to say that one episode encapsulates the entire FEEL of the series overall. That line is hilarious, especially the delivery that Rob Wells has as Ricky.

exactly the reason TPB is pure win. I also think it's because this show is Canadian that it works. I just can't see this show having ever been made in America or Europe. It has a unique feel to it. I do crack up seeing a Pre Juno Ellen Page stealing Pepperoni for Ricky. Never did get his obsession with pepperoni? Also the first time we see Randy become "Smoky" the male prostitute I was just rolling. I'm thinking: Would some john actually pick up that human cheeseburger?

I think it was just the one season they really stressed the pepperoni, but they bring it back from time to time for its comedic value. His dad is big on pepperoni so thats probably why he is as well. Which reminds me of an episode where ricky sends leheighs daughter up to the store for pepperoni and to pay for it he gives her a bag of empty bottles. She comes back and his dad ends up stealing his pepperoni, and next thing you know rickys explaining to the camera crew that his dad is really stealing from the girl because now she has to go buy him some more pepperoni but with her own money, lol. The show is just brilliant. I'm going to watch a few episodes tonight before bed, good stuff.

Yeah, I think so too. Whenever I try and turn someone on to the show, I point 'em at that episode. Works most of the time. ;)

Man, the very mention of Smokey the gay prostitute has me in stitches. Ah Randy, where would we be without you. :lolz:

It came out last month. Kinda reminded me of 'The Big Dirty' but this time it had the low production values of the television show. It's an alright film, but I was hoping for something better since this is supposed to be the last film we see from TPB.

Oh. :emb:

Well, I hate to see movies in the theatre, so I usually don't keep up on what's playing.

I'm kind of glad it has low production values, though. It's part of the show's charm, after all.

I still wonder if Corey & Trevor were fucking Sarah? With the way she treated them you'd swear it was a "Mercy Fuck" thing married with a surrogate mother syndrome. Ah well. It's the way she goes. The way she FUCKIN' Goes.

I like how Julian has always got a drink in his hand and how he has an SNES hooked up in his place.
