Maybe if you all had less games you'd get laid more. :tickled:

Chain, you should get this software that I bought. It's called Game Collector and is available on Collectorz.com . It allows you to easily document your game collection and either print it in list form or better yet, open it in an Iphone app that they have. Ever since I have gotten it, I have yet to accidentally buy a dup. Also, if you don't have an Iphone, you can easily just export it to a text file or even a pdf if you have adobe directly to any other smart phone. It's really great for people like me who have over a thousand games.

I use one of those game cataloging services but I still forget to check half the time.

I didn't even mention the duplicates from buying bundles. I have like 6 or 7 Sega Genesises. For a while every time I bought something off Craigslist or from the flea market they would throw them in with the purchase.

Wow, kern's been acting like much more of a dick since the Gumby incident.

Hey, kern, I got news for you. Anyone with 20,000 posts on a forum dedicated to a dead gaming system can't call anyone a nerd without being a hypocrite.

Of course, that would be helpful information for you if you were even vaguely aware of the concept of hypocrisy. :tickled:

This thread made me laugh so hard I forgot the original topic. Recommend renaming it to nerd fight.

I have to purposely buy doubles of everything that my wife and I will play together. I have 2x of Halo 3, ODST, Rainbow Six Vegas, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Crackdown, etc. I have bought doubles of a game, and we wind up BOTH not liking it. OUCH.

I keep forgetting how some of you are remarkable booger-eaters.

I am sorry for ever doubting you and considering you normal people. I should know you have 2000+ game collections by now :crying:

So between your daily scouring of the internet for new avatars and sig images you count your games so you wont be one of those dreaded nerds? There is irony in here somewhere.

Not really, I just know I don't have that many games.

Especially not shit ones.

I lost count of how many times you've said here how many games you don't have. I'm not sure why you feel the need to constantly point that out, it's not a merit badge of any sort and doesn't evidence anything.

I'm not convinced having a shitload of games makes you super nerdy. I'm sure it's points in the nerd direction, but to what extent, I'm not sure. All I know is that my brothers and I have gotten a lot of happiness over the years simply from amassing consoles and games. It gives us something to look forward to each year when we see each other on the holidays. We play together and often talk games together. We add new items to the collection and try new things. It gives us something to concern ourselves with even though the whole thing is trivial at best.

Sometimes when you consider the games we've bought and only briefly played it seems that the collecting might be more important than the playing, and that's where it may be somewhat unhealthy. But in the end I think it gives us more happiness, so it's worth it.

We don't hang posters on the wall, we don't wear shirts. You have to open a closet to know we have the stuff. It's not like we have pristine quality old games either, most of our old stuff is gamer quality. We don't outwardly display a gamer lifestyle -- we all go back to our regular lives most of the year. I think going to cons, displaying figurines and posters on your walls, neglecting your hygeine, or having 20,000 posts on a gaming board goes much further to make you a nerd. Of course that's only my opinion, I'm probably deluded, and I'm sure some will disagree, but I'm happy and it doesn't matter what you think.
