I got so excited today, I found a copy of Arcana Heart at the Game Crazy closing down nearby. I bought it, got home, went to put it away and found another copy of Arcana Heart there already.

This isn't the first time this has happened. I bought Chip n Dale's Rescue Rangers twice in one month last year. It was on my list of games to get for a while, and I found it for an ok price at a store nearby. I picked it up, it was one of my last of my "must have" NES games. Found it in another store a few weeks later for an ok price again.

I am sure some of you have similar stories, let's hear them.

I have bought only one double and I blame my wife.

I've bought a couple of NES lots to get a few games and have some NES games that, other than playing to test working, haven't done a damn thing with. Well, my wife wanted to try this game DeadlyTowers (terrible game) asking if I had it (was dirt cheap). Didn't think we did, she bought it, got home... BAM! Copy #2. I have a LOT games and in my ENTIRE TIME, I haven't purchased ONE SINGLE double. And she does. Ugh.

What a shit game.

Various family members have given me Sonic Rush for my birthday every year since the game came out.

Accidentally bought two KOF '95's for NGCD. It's a common one, so no biggie. Sometimes you buy games you already own when there's a lot for sale, and you just resell the ones you don't want to keep. This was not one of those purchases.

I had the US and Japanese Arcana Heart for a bit then I ditched the US Version not knowing it was the better of the 2 no matter though Arcana Heart sucked

I once farted, then five minutes later farted again and they both smelt the same, does that count?

When I was at the Too Many Games convention this past May, I accidentally bought two copies of 8 Eyes for NES. Kind of funny because my brother was like, "so, instead of 8 Eyes, you decided to get 16 Eyes?"

Chain, you should get this software that I bought. It's called Game Collector and is available on Collectorz.com . It allows you to easily document your game collection and either print it in list form or better yet, open it in an Iphone app that they have. Ever since I have gotten it, I have yet to accidentally buy a dup. Also, if you don't have an Iphone, you can easily just export it to a text file or even a pdf if you have adobe directly to any other smart phone. It's really great for people like me who have over a thousand games.

:lolz:

Maybe if you played what you have, you wouldn't buy duplicates so much because you'd remember what you owned.

I got rid of a lot of my games last year. I know off the top of my head what I have and what I don't have, so this never happens.

This has never happened to me either, even when I was at the point where I was "collecting" more than I was playing.
