How is T.Hawk a rehash character? He comes from the series where they keep rehashing characters but how is he himself a rehash character? He's been in 2 games from the SFII series, and he made one appearance in the the Alpha Series. Hardly a rehash character.

I border some hatred towards T. Hawk. That guy always handed me my ass in ST and Alpha 3. I rather him not be included for the sole fact I may not be able to win if he does.

He's not new. He is a character from a previous game. Ergo, rehash.

Duck King in KOFXI, as awesome as he was, was a rehash character, too.

Roster additions that aren't completely new characters aren't really to a game's credit. This is one of the reasons SF4's roster was so off-putting for me.

OK if you put it that way. Going by the exact definition, yeah he'd be a rehash. I guess my idea of what a rehash is is somebody that shows up over and over again. I see no cons in a character that hasn't had much exposure to begin with.

Capcom was saying T. Hawk and Deejay from the start, and I sincerely hope Deejay is in the game. He was my number 2 in SF2 HDR, such a solid character, like a more complete Guile. If Zangief is anything to draw example from T. Hawk will be a beast in this game. EX hawk dive is going to gain so much ground.

he's probably talking about the computer. The computer is always a bastard. But you are right he sucks balls in ST, but I feel that's where his charm comes from. He sucks and it's a challenge to win with him but it's a fun challenge. Each time you successfully pull of his throw you get this overwhelming sense of gratification. For some reason though I never feel like I'm fighting a losing battle with him like I do with other characters, I just feel challenged. I think people also enjoy watching a good T.Hawk.

Nothing is more gratifying for a T.Hawk player than taking out Zangief.

The tweaks Hawk recieved in Remix really helped him out. He has some trouble when someone spaces you with fireballs, but they need to be really good and not make mistakes. Honda's Headbutt is a major annoyance for him. Guile is just anti-Hawk all the way... by far his worst match-up.

Once you get a knockdown with him though, his rushdown and tick-throw game is evil.

Definitely lower tier, but like SPIN said, that's part of his charm. Very satisfying to win with him.

Not sure of that list of rumors. I guess their trying to keep tight lipped about this instead of having some sites spill the beans. I'm sad their not considering Karin, even though she is mentioned in IV. I also would love to see a character or two from EX. Fuck the luchador chef. Give me some Skullo-fuckin'-Mania! And a new version of Doctorine Dark would be baddass as well.

Good news to me. I pretty much loved SFIV, so I'd love an updated game. It's a bit annoying that it would cost another $60 (assuming it's a full release), but I have to admit, I'd bite if it's significantly upgraded.

Thanks for that YuckMud! I think I just came in my pants. I had already heard about all of those characters but not those details and the new characters. You should post this in the other thread I made as well.

If I like this game then this will probably be the game where I play the most characters since Tekken Tag. I just hope this game does it for me.

p.s. LOL at "Hakan". Japanese people need to do some research on other cultures sometimes. I think in Japan a viable source of info about other cultures is the media and other Japanese people. That's gotta change.

Open any American comic book that deals with Japan or Japanese characters, and you'll see that American people are just as lazy at researching other cultures.

Kid, believe me I know this! I didn't leave this country for 6 years and vow never to come back for no reason(even though I did). I've been accused of being "anti-American" on a few accounts by people from this site. Usually by Nesagwa.
