No idea. Everything else is pretty much acceptable on tv why not the final frontier?

I remember Comedy Central used to have their 'Secret Stash' movies air around this time at night; they were uncut comedies that had everything intact, I think even 'fuck'.

Why not SNL?

They just aired it here on the west coast, and the word is substituted by "frickin'" (in a terrible sketch which apparently believes that excessive use of the word "frickin'" = comedy gold) OMG TABOO!!!

And what was with the painfully dull plane sketch?

This show is just embarrassing now. Almost every skit either desperately needed an immediate gong, or went on so long that any comedy it might've had got squashed.

The Russian bride was funny at first, but it kept using the same gag over and over again until you say "Okay, I get it! NEXT!"

The bedsheets sketch with Kenan, the Weekend Report bit with the blabbering nervous girl, and the Mom Talks to Megan Fox skits all dragged on and on with what I assume were artificial laugh tracks (since I can't imagine any actual audience members laughing at these repetitive gags).

You can say whatever you like on TV over here, there was a whole documentary on why people find the word 'Cunt' so offensive on not long ago.

:)

(obviously after the 9PM watershed)

Shit, this show is awful. I really need to get into comedy. What do these kids make, like $200k a year?

SNl has been shit for so long, I almost forgot the las time it was good. When they fired the entire cast back in 1994/5/6 whenever it was, the show has never been good since. I considered the late 80's/early 90's to be the second good time for SNL.

Anymore one person makes it big on the show because they're actually funny and they move on. While these rare talents come and go the rest of the cast is crap.

Last time SNL was funny to me was in 2000. Though 2008 was pretty good with the election coverage and such. But 2000 was REALLY the last time it was funny to me.

You have to slow down and be more patient with it. Savor it. It's on nearly every week when the season gets going. If you think you can do better, you should be an SNL writer. Oh wait, I forgot it's a 35-year-old comedy institution only hires the best and brightest in the business. Hating on SNL is a cliche.

Only redeemable value of SNL in the past decade has been Andy Samberg and The Lonely Island other than that it's terrible.

Like A Boss still cracks me up even after the 100th viewing.

Didn't Lorne Michaels tell Norm MacDonald to leave the show because he was "not funny"?

Uh actually, lets not bother arguing. Just post up a youtube of a recent SNL skit that you think is funny and we'll take it from there.

I'll even give you a couple of months to find one.

I can't believe I found out about Like A Boss a week ago.

"oh fuck me i can't fucking do it shiiiiiiiiit"

Hating on SNL is a cliche.

Loving it just because everyone else does is an even bigger one. Everyone back in high school always talked about it on Monday and I kept wondering why they still bothered.

How is it a cliche? The show is supposed to be consistently funny, and its not that its a bad kind of funny, its just now funny.

You can tell she knew she screwed up right after she said it.

Who is watching TV at 10pm on a Saturday night anyway?

I got screamed at by a guy I know who asked me if I had seen a recent SNL episode and I said no cause I don't find it funny. He then when on a hour long rant about how I don't have a sense of humor, I tuned him out after 5 minutes and walked away.

Seeing that clip lets me know I've missed nothing in not watching it in a very long time
