I went through this list and had a few laughs. I think I saw every "Larry the Cable Guy" film in there, every "____ Movie," and all of the Uwe Boll classics.

100 Worst Movies - Rotten Tomatoes

Only thing that I couldn't believe was that the Uwe Boll movies weren't higher up on that list.

I don't know what helped kill Travolta's career more, that movie or Scientology.

the list is lame since nearly half of the stuff on there are movies people have never heard of, and/or are direct to video level movies.

Battlefield Earth, never saw it and glad I haven't. I saw Master of Disguise when it was on during a really lazy weekend, don't remember WHY I left it on, got that was a terrible piece of shit. Dana Carvey shouldn't be allowed to work in Hollywood again due to that. Actually, now that I think about it, I don't think he has.

Only one of the movies I've seen in that list and disagree with is The New Guy. Bad movie, but still hilarious. And I can't believe there weren't any Tom Green movies in there... even though I like them, they always got slammed.

Corky Romano
The New Guy
The Master of Disguise

Those three are the only ones on the list I didn't hate. I don't think any of the three were particularly good, and nor would I watch them again, but after seeing them I didn't feel as if my time were wasted.

Wow, I had no idea 88 Minutes did so poorly.

3000 Miles to Graceland and Twilight also deserve to be on there (I know they're going by rottentomato percentage rankings).

Oh man, I just started and saw some doozies in there. Doogal I saw when it was on a free preview of Showtime, only because Jon Stewart is in it. And as much as I love Jon on The Daily Show and in his brief part in Half Baked, he's terrible in that movie. Even he said he hated it, he played a talking spring that shoots ice out of his mustache. What. The. Fuck.

Battlefield Earth was the only one on that list I saw beginning to end. I knew it was awful and was curious how bad it was. I also saw bits of Bloodrayne as well.
I consider myself lucky for not viewing the others. :loco:

Haha, I remember when Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever came out and being blown away by all the bad reviews. I didn't see it, but I remember they even took the time to create a video game version.

LOL, Ballistic was all about finding some next big Asian director --only the Thai kid they picked was completely incompetent.

Nah, most (if not all) of these were in theaters. I can actually remember most of these getting panned on arrival --I don't think I ever saw one of these because by 2000 I was much better about "scouting" movies with reviews before I wasted time on them. Still saw a few bad movies, but nothing horrifically bad.

The best part is they actually took an existing, passable movie (The Magic Roundabout) based off a British children's show and actually rewrote it to remove any references to the show and added stupid pop culture and flatulence jokes, along with a new American cast. I mean, wow.

...sort of like the stupid stuff that was done to Nausicaa in its original US release.

Scanning these, I love this summary:

Featuring mostly wooden performances, laughable dialogue, and shoddy production values, In the Name of the King fulfills all expectations of an Uwe Boll film.

I just remember how long the whole name was.

After reading the whole list, I can happily confirm I missed all of them.

Magic Roundabout is French but got very popular in the UK, partly thanks to the awesome English dub.

They are the same thing. Scientology is why he made that movie -- a story written by the founder of Scientology.

It is with great pride that I announce I have seen none of those movies.

It's kind of amazing to me they've included Whiteout to that list, since it just came out. It's too bad, because I liked the comic, but the trailer made it look like they were either going for a very different direction or were trying to misrepresent the story because they were afraid audiences wouldn't go for an understated murder mystery without all the action, romance and whatnot Hollywood likes to include with everything. And they had been sitting on the finished movie for more than a year I think, which is never a good sign. Still disappointing.

I'll say it again, Miss March was pretty good. It's stupid and silly but that's the idea of the genre. Sorry to see it on the list. Perhaps you have to be a fan of the sketch comedy troupe the two writers and co-stars are members of, The Whitest Kids U Know. I've been wrong about these things before though. I'm known to like really stupid comedies that the critics pan sometimes.

The last truly horrible, irredeemable movie I saw in theaters was The Avengers. That was before I realized the connection with (1) no reviews appearing on the Friday of release and (2) film so terrible even the studio knew. By 2000 I was screening films either scanning IMDB's external review list or, later, Rotten Tomatoes. It hasn't been perfect, but its been a whole lot better than before.

I love that movie.

Yeah, it is admittedly horrible, but the surreality of the scene where the cabal of bad guys is all running around in giant teddy bear suits really made an impression on me. I'm pretty sure that scene was an unconscious partial inspiration for Dogby.

The only thing I hate about that movie is that I'm pretty sure it killed whatever small chance Thurman had left at that point of starring in a Modesty Blaise movie. She would have been so perfect for that. Fuck, it makes me mad just thinking about it.

The only movie I've seen from the list is the remake of The Fog which is not only utter crap but also a disgrace to Carpenter's original.

Ha-ha! Lost Souls..man, I had forgotten about that movie.

A buddy of mine and I saw that in high school, since we picked it to do a story about for the school paper. Wooo, we ripped that piece of shit a new asshole.

Though, I have to say, I don't recognize a good deal of the stuff on the list. And I won't give away number one, but I've seen that, and it's not what I would consider the worst movie ever (though I know it's based on RT rankings). It's bad, but not that bad. It's not Pluto Nash or Legend of Chun-Li bad.

Not included on the list, but all certainly worthy of each being in the top 10....

Bowling for Columbine
Fahernheit 9/11
Sicko
Captain Mike Across America
Slacker Uprising

The only ones that I have even seen parts of are Corky Romano, Master of Disguise, and The New Guy. No thanks to Comedy Central.

Of course, I see very few movies anyway, so if you listed the Top 100 Best Movies I will have probably only seen a few, on TV, as well.
