ODST and Halo Wars are definitely $20 purchases for me. I enjoyed the trilogy, but I'm not really into spending a lot of extra money on the franchise.

Halo Wars isn't a great game in the first place. I like Halo a lot but i'm not even spending $30 on a game that isn't good.

A smart move for ODST. There isn't a lot of content if you don't play Halo online or don't plan to play Firefight much.

I'm still kinda annoyed that I have essentially repurchased Halo 3 multiplayer including 3 map packs I already paid $30 for.

Oh well.

Three new maps on top of that.

One of which I really enjoy, so...whatever.

firefight

Would you care to elaborate on your post?

It doesn't make any sense.

My reply was specifically directed at Deuce. I don't believe he plays a lot of FPS online - I could be wrong and I don't know if he'd like Firefight.

If he doesn't, then the value in ODST for him is only the single player campaign.

That is a lot of "extra" stuff he doesn't need/want so waiting for the price to drop makes sense for him.

I think the ODST package is great, which is why I bought it. For me it wasn't as good of a value as it could have been, given that I already own Halo 3 and all the map packs which are for sale (the 3 on the ODST disc are not for sale in the marketplace currently.)

no, i don't really care to elaborate on my post. i just typed the word firefight. it wasn't necessarily in response to anything you said, despite the fact i quoted you. that's how i roll. i was just professing my love for the firefight mode by reiterating its name and acknowledging the fact it exists.

are you a robot?

I'm on the Sniper ODST flasback and the other ODST i'm with is shooting at a dead Brute and then he says "You know - they are more fun to fight than elites"

Awesome.

Finished the game earlier today. It's definitely short but pretty cool. I didn't realize the girl that played Dare was Tricia Helfer until today. That's kinda cool. Story is pretty cool, even though it's just telling us what happened during MC's jaunt in Halo 2.

It is pretty short, but it's pretty fun.

You get that Vidmaster achievement?

Which achievement is that?

And no, we only got an achievement for scoring 200,000 on the level which is rather easy since we were just messing around on normal.

One of the skulls is so annoying. Makes some enemies reflect bullets. We just basically splattered them with choppers.

We were playing on the level that is from the 2nd flashback, where you drive the warthog.

You get a stupid amount of points if you kill a wraith with the laser.

Same exact level we unlocked 200k on last night.

The Vidmaster: Endure achievement is completing 4 whole sets on Heroic in Firefight.

AKA- IMPOSSIBLE.

the heroic achievement could easily be done on the level with the steppe-like layout, and the huge, destructible walls.

Bought Halo Wars yesterday because of the price drop. Picked up the guide too...

Havent had a chance to really try it out yet, but I did briefly look online and there were over a 1000 games being hosted. So the multiplayer must be pretty fun.

I beat the campaign on Heroic, next up is legendary. I'm wondering if you get any additional scenes at the end of the game if you beat it on legendary.

I enjoyed the game, though short, and all around I think it's a good package for $60....if you like Halo.

ODST almost feels like a different game on Legendary [solo.]

It's a cake walk in co-op with 4 players, but still awesomely fun.
