Cologne when used correctly, IS a chick magnet.
Smell is a sexual thing for women. Thats why we like those scented candles and shit so much.

on the other hand, fuck the scented candles.

lol @ the big proponents of cologne being black dudes in this thread.

And people who believe that cologne is a chick magnet also believe bling$, and cars attract women. They also use money clips. They were in small gangs in their youth or sold cell phones.

I'm not black, you racist bastard. :oh_no:

Chalk up one more reason why you're a virgin.

P.S. - I currently use Curve for men. It's just some Liz Claiborne shit but it smells awesome.

I had to stop by to lol at those that don't use cologne or think it's out dated. This site always provides good entertainment.

The thing with any cologne is to do one of two things:

1. Spray the air (once is generally enough) and walk through it.
2. Spray one hand (again, once is generally enough), rub hands together, then pat it onto the neck/shoulders. Then wash hands.

Moderation is key. I don't often wear cologne, but when I do, I use Eternity for Men. My wife likes it, and it doesn't give me headaches, so hey.

Eternity is excellent stuff, I used to wear it about 10 years ago now (almost can't believe they still make it, I guess it's living up to it's name). After Eternity I wore CK BE for YEARS. That is some awesome stuff, but I decided to move on and I've been using Curve for about a year now.

Wear cologne when you are going to be around women that you may want to attract. No need to wear it to the office or CostCo.

And just a little bit goes a long way, but it also helps if you get the cologne approved by a woman before you start wearing it all the time. I had a friend who would wear a Dolce & Gabbana cologne that was nasty. It was not Light Blue (lonesage), but was in the bottle with the dark blue trim. Terrible stuff, like fermented licorice.

Personally am wearing Lolita Lempicka these days. It smells like russian strippers, which is nice.

You're really trolling with the Costco jabs today.

I put on some light cologne for work for a while but it wore off after a half hour or so. I do like to put some on when I go out for errands/especially for social events though. It's easy to overdo it but a light misting of cologne can go a long way in the first impression department.

I ran out a couple of weeks ago and have yet to grab more...any suggestions (other than what's already been posted)? My wife likes Stetson-y type stuff.

Easy, tiger. It's a good skill for married men to know the scent of different colognes, lest they can tell what cologne isn't theirs on the pillows. However, if married, I would recommend against wearing any cologne, just so you can track the scents easier.

Stetson? Ew.

Yeah I don't really like it and have never worn it but she likes it for some reason.

The last thing I got was Playboy Miami or something...smelled decent in small quantities.

EDIT: I think it's a nostalgia thing...IIRC her dad/grandpa wore it.

Yeah, I personally find it nicer when guys actually smell nice. I notice it right away myself and yes, I actually might look towards your direction twice (not once like the usual) if you do. Doesn't make you any better looking but it makes your presence nicer.

zombiesara and Yue(Moon) pretty much layed it out. That's 2 females to verify the truth you cologne naysayers seem to deny.

actually only 1 black dude, me. And wtf does that have to do with anything?

judging from your pictures on facebook, it's safe to say you probably don't have many situations where you'd need cologne. Videogame tournaments and geology hikes don't look like places where pussy would be in the first place.

I only use cologne for dates, romantic outings, socials formals--basically anything that revolves around impressing a woman through hygeine and appearance.

Believe you me, 'rog is, indeed, a ladies' man when it's appropriate.

I used to wear it fairly often...haven't in recent times. Oddly enough, I've actually gotten laid more this year than any other...and this, with no cologne.

I may go out and get some cologne this weekend. Something sort of light, not overpowering. You really have to use it sparingly. If you put on like half a fucking can of Brut or Axe body spray...your odds just shrank. Sorry playa.

It also kinda depends on the ladies you're going after. For a long time I dated this artsy girl who never wore any perfume or makeup herself, so it didn't even occur to me to wear it. After we split, I sort of continued my ways, but this thread has inspired me to go for the gusto.
