Men's cologne seems like an old man thing these days, yet i see ads for it all over magazines.

I wore it all the time when i was younger 17-22ish, but these days i can't seem to find a time where the scent will not be overbearing. The few times I have wore it again, people mentioned it immediately like it was out of place.

It's too much for for work and every day wear, so ....

when?

you're using too damn much. The cologne scent should be subtle. You should put it on when you get out of the shower when your body is still hot and only put a little on your neck and wrists. That's how you get it to work it's magic. That shit will make bitches start marinating in their own juices.

Stop bathing in it.

Might also want to stop using the spray and switch to a decanter style bottle so you can limit your use a bit better.

Don't use it.

That stuff is from the olden days before de-odorant and is truly unpleasant under nearly any circumstance.

just make sure you shower regularly so you don't stink. There's no need for cologne.

Some people are beyond that... some people's BO can be powerful and even a morning and evening shower might not be enough.

Even though my BO is very mild, I still wear cologne and I get compliments from women all the time because I wear the good shit.

Don't listen to these guys. Cologne isn't something of the old days. If you use it right you'll have no problems. Shit just today I went to see a movie and I wore some and my 2 female friends who came literally jumped on me and said "damn you smell good". Had they not been my friends I'd be dicking them down right now instead of posting this stupid ass message.

Like I said, I get compliments all the time on my scent too. You just gotta know how much to put on.

Exactly! I think some of the cologne naysayers haven't experienced a woman going nuts over a scent. I used to think cologne was a waste until I had a a few women grab all on on my shirt and keep trying to smell my neck. LOL it dawned on me that I had to use it the right way to get the desired effect.

Using too much or spraying it 1 or 2 times in the wrong spot won't always work. And I learned what kinds to use at what time of the year as well just from messing around. I don't use anything super expensive either. In the spring and summer I use citrus like scent called "Crave" and in the fall and winter I use a darker colored stronger scented cologne called "Obsession". Both are Calvin Klein scents and neither of them are anything extra special. They just have distinguished scents and I just use em right.

I can't believe what I'm reading. Saying men shouldn't wear cologne is like saying women shouldn't wear pretty smelling (albeit subtle) perfume. I wouldn't wear it to go play basketball, but if you're going to be in a place where hot women might be, put some (SOME) on. Old days? WTF?

Maybe I have a more sensitive nose, maybe I've been stuck around too many guys who abuse it, or maybe I've been around too many women who dislike it, but cologne is a no go for me.

People like to think that they're not using much, but put them in a room full of other people who are doing the same thing and you get something slightly more pleasant than tear gas.

+1 on every pro-cologne comment...it's all about the amount. My wife loves it.

Anyone who doesn't like cologne or thinks it is unneeded probably wonders why they get no pussy.

Every girl I ever had in bed always made a comment about how much they liked how I smell. Girls dig quality cologne.

Well I dont find too many women wear perfume anymore either.

The women i know like it, but you have to be terribly subtle. I try not to have a scent unless yur up on me.

Quote of the day.

I toss a spray on, now and then, if I am going somewhere thats not the grocery store.

I just spray in the air, and walk through it. Its really faint

lol @ the big proponents of cologne being black dudes in this thread.

And people who believe that cologne is a chick magnet also believe bling$, and cars attract women. They also use money clips. They were in small gangs in their youth or sold cell phones.

God that stuff smells like shit. A guy I worked with used to bathe in that stuff. And I dont mean the body wash, I mean that fucking spray. Pungent trash is what it smells like.

I think the last cologne I ever wore was cool water back in 1995. I can understand people that have body odor, I guess but... like... use some degree or something, lol. No need to shower yourself in more smells to cover up your own.
