HTML editor? I just use Textwrangler.

Yes. You can also get Kdevelop to work with a little effort. You would need the kdelibs through FINK so if you have that kind of setup going it's pretty easy to add... else just stick with Textwrangler. Can work over sftp and ftp which is the best feature of it imo.

[Edit] Oh and textwrangler is free btw.

i dont really know who im explaining myself to

just found this, havent tried it though:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1843

i like front page because its super easy to use. i realize its not totally standards compliant, and it does do some shit i dont like. but if i need to throw a page together real quick it does the job.

the problem is most of the internet really doesnt use basic html anymore. i havent kept up with the times, so i couldnt say whats current and new as far as web design environments goes.

You could try running FrontPage through Parallels, WINE, etc. The Office products usually run pretty decently like that.

If youre going to go through all that trouble, just pirate Dreamweaver for Mac.

Dreamweaver>>>Frontpage anyway. But I wouldn't want TonK to change to another program if he likes Frontpage that much.

TextWrangler>Dreamweaver. You don't need Dreamweaver.

If you are going to be editing your current webpage then use Textwrangler and then use Cyberduck to transfer files.

Textwrangler offers no visual editor.

Dreamweaver is a better move from Frontpage.
