They're actually not bad. Ours only drools when she drinks, and she can't really help that. Most of the time, her jowls are dry. More than slobber piles, you'll wind up periodically getting slimed when she brushes those jowls against you after drinking.

Warning, though. English bulldogs are expensive, both to buy and care for. They're prone to a lot of potential health issues, like skin problems (most common) and an elongated soft palate (usually reduced during spay/neuter). They also live only an average of 5-8 years. But I wouldn't trade Kaylee for the world. She's the best and sweetest dog I've ever had. It's going to kill me when her time is up, but it's all worth it.

Yes people are often amazed at the reality of how expensive english bulldogs are, as they are one of the most expensive breeds to own. Puppies alone usually run 2-4K in the Northeast depending on the breeder, as low volume litters combined with the almost necessary c-section birth and high demand results in high prices. Additionally as Deuce mentioned there are a host of health problems associated with the breed (skin infections, weight issues, cherry eye, hip displaysia, etc), with just about 1 in 2 bulldog owners I've talked to having had gone through some sort of major surgery. The upside to their breathing problems is many a hilarious moment involving snoring, burping, and flatulence.

So far we have loved Kobe, and he has been almost perfectly healthy, save for a bit of dry eye which the vet thinks should hopefully clear up as he gets older. All that being said, you couldn't ask for a more friendly dog. He rarely barks which is nice, and is friendly around all dogs and people, especially children.

Guy on the chair is the chillest, finds random items to play catch with and he'll drop them at your feet and wait. Guy down below is a little neurotic, but loves attention and chin scratched.

My kitty, Hotaru. :D That was the name her previous owner gave her. I have no idea where she got it from, but now I just tell people she's named after the Mark of the Wolves character.

She was a bit crazy before she got fixed, which her old owner never did and I procrastinated about for a while. Now, she's just a silly loafer who loves pets. She likes having her belly rubbed, too, which I have never seen a cat like before.

Haha she is a sweetheart, very friendly. Though she scares everyone who first meet her. She comes running up the the door showing her teeth, but she is just smiling and happy to see who ever it is.

And yes she is named after Wine. My family is very Pro Alcohol

She's such a sweetheart, if not a little chatty. XD

Socks likes belly rubs too, but he likes to be petted on the lower part of his belly. And that just creeps me out, mainly because it looks like he's getting off on it.

Since I had a camera handy today to take pics of my FS item, I took pictures of my cats, all of which have their backstories around these parts yonder.

Spike, 4 years old, looking about as serious as he's capable of, upside down on the sheet that's spread out on the floor expressly for the purpose of entertaining cats:

Persephone (Sephie for short), 5 years old, in her very favorite place:

Tigress, 2 years old, who likes to try to look stately like Sephie and hardly ever does:
P7300052.jpg

Snowshoe, 5 years old, prissy, petite, cries and gets mad at the other cats when they annoy her but also gets along with them all the best on the whole:

Seriously? I never even thought to look, though that little sucker does indeed have what seems to be a serious supply of claws on his front feet.

I might have just done some trick photography there, though now you've got me curious.

Also, I'll be sure to pass your compliments regarding his handsome bastardness along to him, he'll be quite flattered! :emb:
