Yeah, I have to back Ratson in the sense that it was ME who saw that pic on a link he provided- that link was about cars. He didn't post her picture in the first place. I saw her there, thought she looked like some kinda nordic piece of ass, and posted the pic here. So it wasn't him bragging or being a Spike Speigel type of douche (that word is just about out of mileage online, btw).

But I encourage Wizkid to keep flaming. It is really, really entertaining to read.

.

.

.

(And i'd still do Ratson's girl six ways from sunset if I was in the Netherlands and they broke up, or he just let me out of brotherly love...)

I like to play the guitar and bass. I mostly play popular songs and country music. I especially like Hank Williams.

I also like to go jogging and train in muay thai kickboxing.

I enjoy booze, Japanese booze, and boozing.

Call me crazy, but I'm actually starting to like ratson. He burned wizzy pretty good a couple of times in this thread, even.

ratson's cool - possibly best newb of 08.

The fact that he's got one of those freaky Euro MVS cabs is cool enough, his race track is icing on the cake.

I also produce (and of course spin) Hardcore or Gabber music. Are you guys familiar with that kind of music?
Yes indeed I am. 170bpm and less is for pussies! I'm not too familiar with European hardcore/gabba (I like to listen to it but I can't name a single artist), but I'm a J-Core fan, I like Technorch, m1dy, sharpnel... I'd be interested in hearing your original songs.

edit: other hobbies I have:
-Meeting people (not to the extent Bobak does though)
-Browsing thrift stores and garage sales (treasure troves at times!)
-Bargain-hunting (AKA a family member will want me to find them the best deal possible on a new LCD TV with a $XXX budget, etc...)

Don't you mean get my alcohol in check? Surely a brilliant mind such as you own would appreciate the benefits of solving the root cause of the problem rather than the symptom?

Also if you knew what you are talking about(hahahaha you? ahahahahaha) I was responding six months late to a six month old response.

Then that makes it twice as pathetic, doesnt it?

Music, movies, going to concerts/festivals/parties.
I love fixing computers, graphics/webdesign and such kinds of things a lot too, but pretty much only do it when I get paid for it.

I did make a new years resolution to get some new hobbies this year.
Really want to start dj'ing and learn to play an instrument.

I also compose music (electronic/"techno" stuff)... wanted to make a living out of it but it didn't work out. Releasing our stuff vinyl-only probably didn't help either.

Once I truly was beyond the dance, guys... good times...

Ah well, still have all my equipment, thought about selling it off but that would be insane since half of that crap are rare machines and devices that are very hard to come by now. Then again, the value of these machines (Roland 202/606/727, old Mackie mixer, DigiTech classic, Behringer Ultrafex, etc., etc.) is entirely based on mad collectors... only a few inveterate freaks like me still use it for making music while the rest of the world bought a large sampler, a Laptop and some gay software. Bah.

heh, I'm still hoping for sort of a low-fi electronica revival, not that retro bullshit with new cyber-sci-fi sound but a true mono low-fi renaissance... ah well, a man can dream, can't he...

Yes, someone without a neo ignoring someone with a neo

makes perfect sense really.

I mean

he's more justified to be here than you or 30 of the other hangers on are :p

this is not fair

besides being my homie, jro is also single-handedly maintaining the existence of mediocre game developers

he will play any game, anytime, anywhere - you can't fuck with that

Slightly offtopic, but I want to recommend Eine Kleine Nachtmusik.

You might like it, it's got a very oldschool, Tangerine Dream like feel.

Not bad... Floyd-ish, TD-ish.. sounds like Mixmaster Morris with space guitars... :)

However, my idea of mono low-fi is different, it's more like this: Sexy World, by Christian Morgenstern. Or this: Derrick May live... you know the score.

God I admire that Morgenstern track, makes my skin crawl and legs twitch.

4 in the morning, 100 sweaty ppl on the dancefloor in a bunker with fog, two strobes and a red a and blue light, and your fingers on the knobs and buttons... pure bliss...

Suppose I should also mention my other hobbies.

I am a fellow junglist along with spinmaster, I cook, to quite a high level I must add, read and discuss philosophy, mess about with random art media, produce music and spend hours creating new noises and that's about it.

I don't really think the parties, sex, inebriation and raves really count as a hobby as that is just socialising in the modern world.

I can't call being a hardcore junglist souljah a hobby of mine because I get paid for it. I'm a professional.
