Okay, so, for some inexplicable reason, Sony doesn't seem to care about selling PSN voucher cards up here in Canada. Better yet, for some magic reason, my credit card won't work on their store either (I called their tech support several times — no one knows why, apparently this happens all the time). That leaves me pretty much shit out of luck if I wanna buy Wipeout HD and the like.

So any American members wanna hit up a Best Buy for me and mail the card up to the frozen north?

Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen these cards in stores at all in my area. I wanted to get some too so I didn't have to put out my CC info. Oh well.

What about getting a prepaid visa card? I know it's not quite the answer you want but it may be good enough for the time being.

Those prepaid visa cards bite a$$!! I got one and for internet purchases it turned out nearly useless as they said they would provide address verification, but they really dont. So you cant use them on paypal and alot of services. That was a wasted 20 bux. Thank goodness the walmart let me buy penthouses with em.
I have visitors coming this weekend, however I will check around locally and if I can buy one with cash I will pick one up and mail it to you. I will pm you when I get around to it which will be next weekend.

Please PM me so that I have a reminder in my inbox and don't forget.

They only sell those in Japan, HN. Just so you don't keep looking in the places where you won't find one...

I've seen a few things about getting JP ones and using them, but I don't know much about whether or not that would work.

Hanafuda, maybe?

Check your Blockbuster stores. My local BB here in middle of nowhere VT just put out PSN cards in $20 and $50 denominations this week. It was part of a new kiosk they put in for Bluray discs/PS3 stuff.

Ah, that explains it. I figured there was something up when I couldn't find any at walmart or target.

I thought maybe they'd been discontinued since I just got into the PS3 game a month ago and hadn't looked before then.

I tried this, actually. The first one worked fine, which made me happy. The second one did not work, no matter what. That made me angry.

Anyways. Apparently, like Jedikiller says, they're available in some Best Buys, Blockbusters, and 7/11s.

So... Has anyone seen 'em around? They're supposed to be there.

And if not... Seriously. What the FUCK, Sony. Microsoft had voucher cards on day one, how goddman hard is it to put these things out?

I saw PSN cards at Blockbuster tonight. They have both $20 and $50 cards like JediKiller mentioned. They were just mixed in the giftcard rack with the Xbox points, iTunes points, etc.

Don't suppose you'd mind filling us in on where you live? Maybe we got other members in the area that want 'em too.

Fuck man. I'm pretty close to just giving up on this whole enterprise. If Sony wants to make it so hard for me to give them money... Fuck 'em.

Still... For now, at least, with the last of my patience. Bump!

HeartlessNinny,

They have these PSN cards at the BlockBuster down the street from me. I purchased a $20 Card and it worked without any issues. I'm in the Downtown Long Beach, California Area. They had plenty of $20 and $50 cards. If you want you can mail me the payment and I can email/pm you the code. I would say to use Paypal .. but my account deducts Paypal fees ..so that wouldn't be benificial to either of us. Let me know.

According to the Wikipedia article on the Playstation Network, the cards were initially available only at Meijer stores. I'm not sure if that's still true but, that is where I found the $50 one I bought a couple months ago.

I read on the Playstation blog that they're supposed to be out at Best Buy, Blockbuster Video, 7/11 and a number of other chains. Clearly, that isn't the case — only one person around here has apparently seen 'em.

I'm pissed off enough that I don't think I'm even gonna bump this anymore. If someone seems 'em, great... But I'm sick of asking. Fuck you Sony...
