this censorship is so last generation, and random at that. we get blue mary bouncy, yet no blood? i know the argument(s) and complaint(s) about this issue have been done to death...it really is a shame tho.

What's great is SNKP could change one tiny setting in their emulation and play these games in MVS mode, but instead they release them as censored US AES versions. Yes, this company is that lazy.

I just can't wait for the upcoming Samurai Shodown collection, being able to have every censored version of SS on one disk.

for sure, the games on this disc are more than worth the asking price.

I dunno. I couldn't even see Capcom relying on 3 versions of SF2 to sell a collection nowadays, and SF2 is leaps and bounds more popular than RBFF. I honestly could see this collection selling worse than either the AoF or WH anthologies.

Region dependent, or so I thought.

Since you have a copy, does Mary still have her "Wardrobe Malfunction" when hit out-of-bounds on the Sound Beach level of RBFF?

Wait, just to clarify...I thought the nip slip only occurred if you were controlling Mary and fell out with your opponent.
:conf:

Meh, either way it was a damn funny thing for SNK to put in.

Yeah....
I'm still waiting on my copy. And it's been some time since I sold off my Saturn.

The characters never surface if they are knocked out of the side ring in this collection. Let me know if I am wrong.

You just need to beat the opponent with a ring out and also wind up in the water yourself.

Got my copy today.
Been trying to go against Nightmare Geese in RBFFS and Alfred in RBFF2.

I miss having Geese unlocked from the Saturn Version.

So, all the games are the US censored versions? I'm probably going to pick it up anyway.

I noticed in Real Bout that you get green "vomit" instead of blood.
In RBS and RBFF2 I couldn't tell if you even got sweat. I don't notice any difference there. Though, I was too busy being trounced by Billy to know any better.

Mary's wardrobe malfunction is still there in Sound Beach.
Be on the winning side and go over the edge into the water. (Ring out victory.)
I'm on a standard-definition TV, and have the screen set to style B. While the animation still happens, you can only view it on my TV on style A. (Screen Zoomed out from the action.)

I still need to try out the EX character codes in Special for Andy, Mary, Billy, and Tung.

Eh, but I'm rambling. Short answer, yes. They're US BIOS versions. No idea if anything changes if you change the language though.

Probably not since it didn't work in '99 DMNE on Dreamcast. :(

Thanks for the info...I'm still buying it, regardless of the censorship. I really just want to play the games.

Does anyone know if Mary's wardrobe malfunction is in the Saturn version of RBFF?

I don't get the censoring. I was playing KOF 2002 US PS2 version earlier, and there was blood. It has a 'T' for teen as well... Whatever I guess. I really can't stand a blood less Metal Slug though.

I know. But it's a closely guarded secret. (Yes.)

MIne Arrived Yesterday from Buy.com

Even though it's censored, I love the lack of load times.

and it brings back fond memories.

Well what we have is lazy SNKP USA.

Since these are EMU from the ROMs with the added value of the Arrange Tunes they probably just changed the BIOs rom on the US one to the US NEO bios.

They could have left it alone and done a slight tweak to the code to have the games boot in English since you can select that with the Japanese bios anyway.

Again lazy Playmore USA. At least we got the games though.

Really ? It wasn't in the japanese Release...
Well, it's partly there.
Went back and re-checked.
They cut Mary's shocked animation and you just see her head emerge from the water. :( No change in gameplay though.

Got mine from Amazon.com today.

RBFF-Reminds me of FF3 which caused me to quit
for awhile.

RBS-Reminds me of why I love this Fatal Fury the most.
It does not feel rushed feel rushed like FF3,the intros to
appeal, the music & the link combos make this one worth
your while.

RBFF2-I don't like that fact that the everything that made
RBS good to me is gone. The matches are harder this time
to me. Thank goodness for the helpout option to beat somebody
by selecting an button to even out the matches.

Practice Mode

RBS-Hold Triangle+Square & pressing X lets you choose the
EX Versions of Andy,Billy,Tung & Mary as you highlight them.
Trips me out that Nightmare Geese was selectable from the start.
Got to do that "Deadly Rave"& "Raging Storm" moves that I never
could be able to do beforehand.:smirk:

RBFF2-Square+Triangle=Alfred.

The blood is missed but I took it better than I thought I would.:)

There is no code to restore the blood? I really don't care, cause it doesn't effect gameplay, but its a good question.
