Ramus called for it and Sara's giving me a free day to do some gaming, so
you all know what that means right? Yeah baby thats right: It's time for
Droid's SoCal Hookup #5! I have a feeling this will be the best one yet!

foodwise...I will provide beverages. Donations of food, soda and snacks or $5 (whatever is easiest) will be welcomed to enhance the party. We will probably carry on the tradition of a popeye's run, so bring cash if you plan to eat. Chicken moochers will not be tolerated per the Godfatha's orders this time around.

June 10th? Aww man, I just made plans to go up to the mountains with my brother that weekend.

Thanks for the invite. Luckily, it's my day off so I can definitely make it. I'm coming to play TEH PRO GEAR and Popeye ! For those of you that are new to NG.com you should definitely contact Tom about possibly attending. The past meets have always been fun and well organized.

I just thought that I'd mention this..... Tom has always been a gracious host by not only allowing all of us into his home, but allowing us to use his stuff. The least we can do is take some of the heat off of him by helping out by providing the refreshments. This is not to say that you HAVE to do this in order to attend ... but it would be one way of showing some appreciation as he will already have his hands full setting everything up and being the host.

Good chance I'll be able to make this meet, always wanted to check one of these out. As for what I'll be bringing is a 2 slot consolized MVS with 2 PSX to neogeo converters and 2 neogeo AES sticks. Game will be: Garou, LB2, KoF98, KoF2k2, RBFF2, Karnovs Revenge, Metal Slug 3, and Waku Waku 7. If its ok with you Droid if I could come along for this meet that would be great. Also I'll see about bringing along a friend of mine who also posts on here. Thanks.

Negative, thanks as usual though...

I would love to come down this time, and so would my cousin. (last time we wanted to also but the weather was pretty bad and something came up at the last minute) My car is acting up still so I will most likely take my cousins car (little Honda CRX), but if I get my car repaired by that time, which I will try, I will just take my car (Thunderbird LX). Since gas prices are an arm and a leg nowdays I might just wanna take the CRX. :P I dunno yet. The reason I say this is the CRX only has 2 seats, so if I take the CRX I cannot give anyone a ride there or back like last time.

Either way, me and my cousin wanna go, but dont mark us down as permanent in case something comes up again. Last Hope AES now has its preorder status, so I might not have enough money to pre order it AND fix my car, AND pay for gas/food AND pay the bills etc...etc... But I DO wanna go and meet up with some new gamers, and say hello to the ones Ive already met, and try to kick some booty while Im there in more KOFs or something. Just no guarantees. Thanks a Million for the invite! Perhaps I can bring my AES cart of Pochi and Nyaa there and vs someone. Im actually getting better at it.

EDIT: I dont see anything about beer! Is it ok if I brought my own Coronas? I love my Corona while I eat chicken and play games. I can understand if you dont want anyone drinking alcohol in your home, hey its your home so you have the say so, but at the same time it would kinda damper the fun for me, lol. So please let me know what you think about that Droid, I promise NOT to get drunk, and I promise NOT to come back in the middle of the night looking for my stuff I left at your house, lol. Let me know.

Droid, I own a neo mvs 1 slot motherboard in my neo geo cab. If you wish I can unscrew it from the cabinet and take it with me. It is not the smaller one though, its the huge 1 slot with memory card and stuff, I dunno if thats what you are looking for. Perhaps you could use another AES instead if someone actually brings one of the newer mvs converters or something, my AES is now modified with S-Video and optical digital outputs. Maby we can use that? I dunno, you let me know what ya think.

Cant wait to see BIG, Droid, and the rest of you again! I enjoyed meeting and talking with you guys. It isn't everyday you get to sit down and converse with someone that actually like the Neo Geo. Hell finding anyone now days that even likes 2D games is near impossible. So for me, these gatherings are pretty rockin'!

EDIT: This post got rid of my NEST PUPPET status, lol. I kinda liked being a NEST PUPPET. hahahaha! Now Im a Stakes Winner 2! lol
