A picture is worth a thousand words.

The Honda rider was traveling at such a "very high speed", his reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. Swedish Police estimate a speed of ~250 KM/h (155mph) before the bike hit the slow moving car side-on at an intersection. At that speed, they predicted that the rider's reaction time (once the vehicle came into view) wasn't sufficient enough for him to even apply the brakes. The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 10 feet from where the collision took place.

All three involved (two in car and rider) were killed instantly. This
graphic demonstration was placed at the Stockholm Motorcycle Fair by the Swedish Police and Road Safety Department. The sign above the display also noted that the rider had only recently obtained his license.

At 250 KM (155 mph) the operator is traveling at 227 feet per second. With normal reaction time to SEE-DECIDE-REACT of 1.6 seconds the above
operator would have traveled over 363 feet while making a decision on what actions to take. In this incident the Swedish police indicate that no actions were taken.

Thats crazy. Sometimes at my college the police would display a smashed up car that was involved in a drunk driving incident outside our student center. They were just mangled wrecks like that one.

You'd have a better chance of seeing a UFO than seeing some asshole on a bike going 155 mph.

Here's to hoping every asshole like this one finds a tree instead of another vehicle.

Edit: I value trees above street racers. Trees produce oxygen. I would prefer they hit a big boulder instead.

RTA's...are upsetting to say the least...& it seems most of the time the innocent come off worst..
As a biker myself & car driver ive seen my fair share of stupid accidents...caused by people unaware of there limits & sensibilites...
This is such a waste of three lives with many upsetting repercussions for the familys related to these people...
Drive & ride carefully & sensibly people.....& THINK before that Red mist kills you & others.

That's rather freakish. The odds of a bike landing up inside the car are slim as hell.

I'll confess, I've taken a bike over 150mph more times than I can count when I was younger. People who wish to take bikes at that speed should find the closest open to the public track to let loose on.

I've seen crazier. Was doing about 75 on I-95 (DC area members know the traffic) when a biker doing a wheely passed between me and the car on my left doing about 90. He didn't drop the wheely, but kept at it miles down the road.

I meant they'd be tough to see because they're moving at 155 mph. It was in response to the comment about how the car may have pulled in front of the bike because they didn't see him. Of course they didn't see him. He was going 155 mph.

I see the same thing here, and when they fly by, I pray they run off the road and do a faceplant into the nearest hard object. Worthless piece of shit assholes.

all the more reason to drive a solid steel 1954 pontiac star cheif. any bike that hits that going at any speed is going to flip over and leave the car with a scratch at best

I was thinking of slamming into a Bus load of nuns holding babies transporting money to the orphanage, by me driving and extremely flamable and explosive Gremlin with a home made meth lab with leaky propain tanks in the back seat to make sure it all goes up :buttrock:
