I don't see the point in combining unibios and any other bios, the unibios alone is all you'll ever need and more.

--------------

Raz, I think you mentioned some time ago a new unibios was coming. Any idea on when and what are the new features? I have 1.3 right now and I don't know if I should upgrade to 2.0 now or wait a bit for the next one.

Thanks for your great work :buttrock:

There will be a new version still but its still some time away I think. There will be a couple of new features but nothing major at this point. Its mainly about fixing bugs, adding cheats etc at this point.

He is talking about a MVS here (6 SLOT), not a AES.

Raz

Oops sorry my mistake! Just looked back at his original post and realised he was on about MVS - not something I know much about...yet!

I am not sure but I sopose its possible. Your best off asking these memory card questions in a new thread.

Well it all depends on what kind of chips and size you want to use it for. Normally the more you pay for a programmer the more kind of EPROMS etc it can program. There is no point buying one also if it supports devices youll never actually read/program with it.

Does the UNI BIOS have a problem with KOF 2003 on a 6 slot?

I know that on the BIOS menu the font will change but if KOF 2003 is in slot 1 of a 6 slot board it never seemes to recognize that the game is in the 1st slot.

Upon powering on the cab woth KOF 2003 slot 1 and metal slug in slot 2, with 4 other games in slots 3,4,5 & 6, the order of games selection will start with metal slug and then go round until KOF 2003 is selected.

It selectes metal slug even tho KOF is in the 1st slot???

Anyone know why it does this?

Its known that some games are skipped when in slot one, this isnt just a unibios issue, it affects the normal bios also.

the bug is apearing when i finish the stage with english language configured/japanses bios choose from the begining and enable some cheats during the game, when the boss is killed the character choosed peviously jump in victory sign but the AES system doesn't load anything else, the only way to take again the hand on the system is to make a soft reboot (yep the unibios menu is still available)
i will try to take a pic at this time maybe it could be more explicit for you.

Try disabling the cheats as the end of level sequence starts. You should be able to narrow down which cheat is causing the problem. I personally expect its the save 15 prisioners cheat, disable that before it starts counting the rescued prisioners and then enable it again once the next level starts.

I got my UniBios chips on Monday, and am running one in my 4 slot now (had to tear it apart and install a new battery anyway...) ant it works most awesomely! I still need to troubleshoot my non-working 4 slot board, but I want to give props to a programming gawd. Great work, Raz!

Curently in the MiniMVS of Doom: KOF '98, MD3, SS4, and Blazing Star
